Greg Germann, who played Dr Thomas Koracick in four seasons of Grey's Anatomy, has exited the show. Both he and long-term star Jesse Williams are being written out of the series during Thursday's episode, which is titled Tradition.

While the actress who plays Meredith Grey has admitted that she's nearly walked away in the past, Pompeo is one of the only original cast members still on the series as of season 17. Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey) and James Pickens Jr. (Richard Webber) are the only other two OGs remaining.

Germann has played Dr. Tom Koracick, a brilliant neurosurgeon who is unapologetic in his arrogance — and in his romantic pursuits — since 2017. He joined the series as a recurring in Season 14 and was promoted to a series regular at the start of Season 16.
In Eureka, Greg Germann's character of Warren King disappeared and in his place we have been given Ed Quinn's Nathan Stark. Of course Germann could be back in future episodes (and I hope he will be), but it felt as though his absence existed in order to make room for Ed Quinn's character.
