Gotham recently brought the character of Kristen Kringle into the fray. She works with Nygma (who will eventually become the Riddler) at the Gotham City Police Department as an archivist, and, boy, is he in love with her. His attempts at courting Kristen have left many things to be desired.
Kristen Kringle was the record keeper of the Gotham City Police Department. She later became the girlfriend of Edward Nygma and after discovering that he had killed her ex-boyfriend Tom Dougherty rejected him, causing him to kill her by accident.

This time, the headache is caused by learning that the recently introduced Jeremiah Valeska isn't actually the Joker. That's right, the producers went through all the trouble to create a twin for Jerome who has been driven insane, wears a purple suit, and has chalk-white skin – but he's not Batman's greatest nemesis.
In a departure from the comics, however, the series ultimately reveals that, instead of Chill, small-time hitman Patrick “Matches” Malone (Michael Bowen) killed the Waynes on orders from his employer, Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong).
