On November 20, 2018, it was announced that Faker had re-signed with SKT for another three years. He had been listed on Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2019, under the category of Entertainment & Sports. On April 13, 2019, SKT won the 2019 LCK Spring final, earning Faker his seventh LCK title.
Faker's contract is updated in the GCD, expiring on 15 November 2021.
Kkoma's departure comes after a bittersweet year for SK Telecom fans, which saw the team claim back-to-back LCK titles in Spring and Summer, but fall short internationally at both MSI and Worlds, eliminated in the semi-finals of both by G2 Esports.
