You're suddenly “locked out” of your eBay account. If without warning you are suddenly unable to log in to eBay using your username and password, it's likely that someone else has obtained your username and password and has used them to log into your account and change the password, logging you out.
Your account page appears. On the left side, under my eBay Views, click the link for Personal Information. At the Personal Information page, a section called Account Information appears at the top with a setting for Password. Click the Edit link to the far right of the word Password.

Changing your password for security reasons
- Go to Sign in and security - opens in new window or tab.
- Select Edit next to Password.
- Enter your current password and your new password.
- Select Submit.
