Space Marine DNA is just too different to normal human DNA, so there is no chance to reproduce the natural way with human woman. The only loyalist marines that DO have occasional boink are Space Wolves, who drunk with their mead sometimes take Fenrisian women (because women form any other world would be too fragile).
They do, but space marines can go long periods of time without sleep. The Catalepsean Node gene seed organ can shut off parts of the brain, allowing a marine to "rest" while remaining alert. But it can't replace sleep.
So, "yes", they're worth it sometimes for some uses, compared to the alternatives within the SM codices. But typically are never worth it compared to the other Imperium soup options. This is a very thorough anwer, very concise, but does a great job of explaining the nuisances of Primaris Marines.
As for your average guardsmans reactions towards Space Marines, it differs greatly. Generally, they're treated with respect, being mankinds most capable and vigilant defenders. Some just see them as non-human tools, as weapons intended to fight their battles.
Chaos Already Has Upgraded Marines
Cult troops, Noise Marines, Plague Marines, Rubric Marines, and Khorne Berserks are all just upgraded Marines and basically fill the same role as Primaris Marines. Plague Marines and Rubric Marines are tougher. No they aren't. Not yet anyway. All standard marine kits are still on sale, none have been replaced by Primaris kits. Also, in the background, normal marines are still being produced alongside Primaris marines, up to the current point in the Dark Imperium timeline.
So yes, now you can combine spacemarine armies. Unfortunately you are not allowed to mix-and-match with units from different Codices any which way. The different books are tuned somewhat to have different strengths and weaknesses.
So, after all that, a Space Marine is a seven foot tall, hardened and dehumanized warrior which is outright immune to most harmful conditions, an order of magnitude stronger than any man on Earth, can spit acid, digest poison, learn memories by eating people, has tank armor for a ribcage, and plain does not get tired,
While not explicitly stated, since all new Marines (save in a handful of chapters) are Primaris Marines this would mean there will be no new Scouts in almost every chapter. In fact, it seems that the all Primaris Chapters, more the half the current chapters, never had Scouts to start with.
2.43 km per minute. 145.8 km per hour. 90 Mph.
Primaris come form regular scouts, there's just three additional implants they get near the end of their enhancements (I believe they go in right before the black Carapace).
Regular ol' Marines can be thrown into Rhinos, Razorbacks, Stormravens, Drop Pods, the list goes on. Primaris Marines have only one transport they can get their fat butts into and it's the Repulsor. The Repulsor is basically the Primaris version of a Land Raider.
Infiltrators in many ways are the most disgustingly good Primaris units to exist. As Troops, they have ObSec. They can infiltrate (duh). They project a bubble forcing enemies that are set up as reinforcements to do so over 12" away, making standard deep strike charges completely impossible.
Primaris conversion head sizes? They're the same size as regular marine heads.
From what I've gathered Marines average between 7.5 to 8.5 feet tall. In armor an average human barely reaches their chest. The primarchs are said to be to Marines as humans are to marines. So your average marine would only reach the chest plate of a primarch.

For the past year a professional contract 3D artist has been quietly making the best Warhammer 40,000 film yet created. Astartes, funded by this Patreon, is planned to be a five-part CGI miniseries about a small scale ship-to-ship engagement between a Space Marine detachment and some traitorous guardsmen.
As the Primaris have no Terminators (Aggressors are debatable) or Biker units or any real equivalents. There are also rumors of Primaris getting actual Terminators and Bikers "soon". Though it's best to take them with a grain of salt as they've been around since Primaris Marines were announced for Dark Angels.
Intercessors are great, but Troop choices are mostly garbage for Space Marines. They are tough as far as troops, but their cost makes them less and less efficient.
On the other hand though, Terminators are much more expensive in points, a five man squad costs you 223 points plus whatever you want in additional weapons, while a Primaris Intercessor Squad of five goes for 100 points, Hellblasters for 190.
Only chainswords available are the BA and SW upgrade kits AFAIK. That is to say, they're molded onto primaris style arms with the buttons and or viewscreens.
Why are primaris models larger? They are larger in background. Its also a sneaky way to have "real scale" marines in game, since all marines are supposed to be taller than base human. The primaris are larger because they are true scale Marines.
Commander Dante is one of the most legendary Space Marine Commanders in the Imperium. He has led the Blood Angels Chapter for over 1,000 years and it is widely believed that he is the oldest living Space Marine.
Sadly, there won't be any new Black Templar Primaris models for Helbrecht, Grimaldus, or the Emperor's Champion. The possibilities are open for a new Chaos Sorcerer. Imperial Guard and Sisters of Battle will also be present. However, would not be the main focus.
The Traitor Legions are comprised of the original 9 Space Marine Legions that betrayed their oaths of loyalty to the Emperor of Mankind during the ancient civil war called the Horus Heresy more than 10,000 standard years ago.
Vanguard Marines are basically just regular Marines deployed on special infiltration and scouting missions. All Primaris Marines undergo Vanguard training, though they are not always deployed as such. The Vanguard mini-Codex lists Reivers, Infiltrators, Suppressors, and Eliminators.
A Space Marine can remove their armor. All of the listed armors above with the exception of the Dreadnought are all able be worn by Space Marines after their final gene-seed technologies are installed. It is the final transformation of Space Marine too injured to recover but unwilling to stop fighting.
Hello, Astartes means Stars, Adeptus means the ones that get hold of something. So the Adeptus Astartes means literally those who conquer the stars aka Space Marines.
There are 32mm bases for the intercessor and the hellblaster squads, while there are 40mm bases for the inceptor squad and the "command" models.
Something like space marines are generally 7' tall/a little over 2 metres, primaris space marines are 8 1/2 feet tall/over 2.5 metres tall, and primarchs are roughly 10 feet/3 metres tall with Alpharius Omegon possibly being smaller.
