Bizarrely, however, Dead Space 3 lacks local, split screen co-op between friends and is online only. If players want to experience the co-op mode it surely made sense to let two friends have the option to play together in the same room, but this choice isn't available.
Dead Space 3 does not feature the competitive multiplayer seen in Dead Space 2. Dead Space 3 promises to be less linear than previous games in the series. Visceral said this allows players to complete side missions, called unique beta missions in the game.

Dead Space 3 didn't make enough money to justify another high-budget sequel, and even while working on the sequel, the Visceral team suspected that it'd be the last one. Maybe that's for the best.

What made Dead Space 3 the worst in the series was how far it deviated from its original identity, trying to meet EA's ridiculous sales quota. Had Dead Space 3 been its own game and not a sequel, it probably could've stood up on its own.
The Brethren Moons (Or Brother Moons and Blood Moons) are gigantic and space-faring Necromorphs which are discovered to be the source of the Marker signals. They are believed to be the final life cycle stage of the Necromorphs.
The closure of Visceral was seen as a sign of the waning interest in publishers in making games that are strictly single player, as many of Visceral's games had been.
No one is truly immune to markers. However some members of any sentient species have an exceptional mind and the marker helps them and uses them for its own purposes while average members of society are driven insane. Isaac showed capability to overcome his limitations as a human so markers have no impact on him.
After hacking and shooting his way through hundreds of nasty necromorphs, Isaac finally returns “the marker” to the surface and manages to kill the game's last boss, the hive mind. Before the planet explodes, Isaac quickly escapes in a shuttle. He covers his eyes as the planet explodes, and the screen goes white.
Fans could finally see the return of Dead Space, at least as a remaster, as EA also confirm there'll be no Battlefield 6 next year. Even so, there's a relatively narrow list of games they could bring back, but Mass Effect seems an obvious one – since fans have been calling for a remaster trilogy for years.
