The Cube is usually located at the upper right of the Elder Sanctum map in the Immortal Throne with the corpse of Kanai seated upon it. All you have to do to claim it once you've found it is click on the Cube.
The Kanai's Cube can only be obtained by going to the Ruins of Sescheron, and this area is only available in Adventure Mode. You can't get the cube in campaign.
Elder Sanctum is a zone in Act III of Diablo III, a second tier of Ruins of Sescheron. It is accessible through a gate at the very end of the zone. It is what remains of the Sescheron's palace, infested with lost remnants of Baal's Army of Destruction.
Just teleport to the new zone, Sescheron Ruins (act III, Top Right corner of map) and explore. I found it in the Elder Sanctum map area. Along with Kanai's Cube, patch 2.3 also added the dungeon "Ruins of Sescheron". This dungeon appears around the Arreat Crater, in Act 3.
The Throne as seen in game The Immortal Throne can be found in the Ruins of Sescheron (Elder Sanctum) in Act III (Adventure Mode only) of Diablo III, as an optional area to the north of the Kanai's Cube vault. It serves absolutely no gameplay role, as it contains few, if any, monsters, and only a few breakable objects.
The Caldeum Nightshade is a crafting material in Diablo III, added in Patch 2.3. 0. It is used with Kanai's Cube for various recipes. This material is obtained from a Horadric Cache given by Tyrael for completion of Act II bounties in Adventure Mode.
Diablo 3 – How to Obtain the Kanai's Cube
- Speak to Zoltun Kulle in any city to begin the Kanai's Cube quest.
- Teleport to the zone called Ruins of Sescheron, Act 3.
- Explore the first map until you find a blue portal that allows you to enter Elder Sanctum.
- The Kanai's Cube can be found on a pedestal in the Elder Sanctum, usually on the top-right of the map.
