Installing Lots
- Double-click on the . Sims2Pack file of the lot you would like to install.
- Select Install inside The Sims™ 2: Package Installer to complete the installation.
- The next time you launch The Sims™ 2: Super Collection, the newly installed lot will be in the Lots & Houses Bin in game.
On the surface, it has everything: autonomous interactions, scripted events, wants and fears, and—wait for it—lore. But, The Sims 2 is missing story progression. In the vanilla (mod-free) game, inactive families, townies, and Sims are static; nothing happens unless the player is actively controlling them.
- Install the Sims 2 normally from disc as an "Advanced User" to the directory of c:Program FilesEA GAMESThe Sims 2.
- Copy the files from inside the downloaded zip and folder to "c:Program FilesEA GAMESThe Sims 2" and confirm to override the files already there.
Simply open your Game Options and go to Graphics/Performance Options. You will see that your Shadow Details settings are set to high. All you need to do is set the detail to Medium and apply the changes and the black square will go away.
To install the best Sims 4 mods in your game, all you initially need to do is download the mod file. Then open Windows Explorer on PC, or Finder on Mac, and locate Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. What is it? The Sims Resource (referred to as simply TSR) is a Sims site offering custom content for all Sims games. These can be downloaded with the intent to alter or expand the games, like mods and expansion packs. It is perfectly safe to download mods and custom content from these sites.
Once you have found a mod or piece of CC, download it. This should be located in your downloads folder. This can be done by finding your documents, then Electronic Arts, then The Sims 4, then in this folder there should be a folder called 'Mods. ' Simply drag and drop the file you have downloaded into the Mods folder.
To do this, go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. Once you're in that folder, simply right-click anywhere and then select "Paste." Body Shop is a tool that came with The Sims 2. It is formally known as 'CaSIE' (Create-A-Sim Independent Editor). It can be used to create entire Sims as well as custom content for Sims. Custom content and Sims created in Body Shop can be placed into the game through Create a Sim.
First to check if you had the 4GB patch in the past but you believe it has stopped working, go to your Sims 2 Folder in Documents:Documents>The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection>Logs>DESKTOP-HIP7R3K-config-log. Open this config note and if you see the Memory to be below 4.000 then you have to install the 4GB.
To do this, go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. Once you're in that folder, simply right-click anywhere and then select "Paste." Sim Blender is definitely not difficult, you just need the file in your downloads folder then you purchase the blender (which looks like a house plant) from the buy mode catalog in game. It's under misc>misc IIRC.
When you launch Sims 2 Super Collection, you should see an option to download Body Shop and Package Installer. Click on the Download button and it should allow you to download and install the programs. Then, when you click on the Sims2pack file, it should automatically launch Package installer.

To install many Sims3Pack at a time:
- Open the Launcher.
- Select the CC you wish to install.
- Hit install.
Keep to a max of 3 subfolders deep (Downloads --> Subfolder1 --> Subfolder2 --> Subfolder3 --> FilesHere), preferably less subfoldering if you can. As long as the filepath isn't too long, the game will read deeper subfoldering - but the game does spend time going through the folders.
