Fairy wasps (family Mymaridae) are tiny, feathery-winged parasitoid wasps. They're often called fairy flies, which is a misnomer. The Mymaridae family includes the smallest known insects in the world. Most species are less than 1mm long – smaller than the average pinhead.
Also known as the Vespa mandarinia, the Asian giant hornet is the largest hornet species in the world. Their bodies can grow up to almost 2 inches in length, while their wingspan spreads across 3 inches on average. When it is ready, (about 24 hours after attaching) it will wriggle its outer skin off exposing the chrysalis beneath. The chrysalis will either be green or brown depending on the color of the surrounding area. In 1-2 weeks the butterfly will emerge.
