Open the screen that you want to capture. Press the Power button for a few seconds. Then tap Screenshot. If that doesn't work, press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time for a few seconds.
The files are stored in the Pictures/Screenshot folder (or DCIM/Screenshot). Depending on your version of Android, you can find an album with the screenshots in the Photos apps. Open the Photos app, go to Albums and look for the Screenshots album.
