UGANDA. From December 5th to the 11th 2018, Kusafiri moved to Uganda to host a new experience; two programmes at the same time. Kusafiri hosted a leadership programme to prepare facilitators for the 2019 Juliette Low Seminar and a cultural programme to explore the heritage and diversity of Uganda.
In 1912 Juliette Gordon Low founded a Girl Guide organization in the United States, and its name was later changed to Girl Scouts of the United States of America.
It all began in 1909, when girls in England demanded to take part in a Boy Scouts rally organized by Lord Baden-Powell at the Crystal Palace in London. Baden-Powell was impressed and he asked his sister, Agnes, to create a program just for girls. This was the beginning of Guiding.
The base of the trefoil stands for the flame of the love of humanity and the colours blue and gold represent the sun shining over all children in the world. The World Badge, incorporating the trefoil, was first adopted at the 11th World Conference in Evian, France in 1946.
A Ranger or Ranger Guide is a member of a section of some Guiding organisations who is between the ages of 14–18. It is the female-centred equivalent of the Rover Scouts.
Guiding began in the UK in 1910, when Robert Baden-Powell, founder of The Scout Association, established a separate organisation for girls. The Guide Association was a founding member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in 1928. Girlguiding is supported by around 100,000 volunteers.
In 1937, 11-year-old Elizabeth was registered as a Guide and her younger sister, Margaret, was registered as a Brownie. Their mother, Elizabeth, also joined the Girl Guides Association and later became a patron. To help the girls earn their challenge badges, the Palace created the 1st Buckingham Palace Guide Company.
They're not paid for what they do - they give their time because they are passionate and care about enriching the lives of girls.
The World Guide Flag : The World Guide Flag consists of the Golden World Trefoil on the left upper corner on a bright blue field. The three leaves represent the three fold Promise as originally laid down by the Founder.
In 1926, Girl Guide and Girl Scout delegates from around the globe met in the USA for the 4th World Conference. The delegates chose 22 February as the date for Thinking Day because it was the birthday of both Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scout Movement, and Olave Baden-Powell, who was World Chief Guide.
Introduction – Rovering/Rangering is the senior wing of Scouting and Guiding. Rovering/Rangering was started by founder of the scouting movement Lord Powell in 1919. Any regular student of College/ University between the age group of 16-25 years can be enlisted as Rover (Boy)/ Ranger (Girl).
Explanation: A boy scout is a person who shows kindness towards people who are in need of help. The old lady was having a problem across a street when a scout boy came to help her. This act of kindness made her ask him where he is a boy Scout.
The Brownie programme is called the Brownie Adventure. It is split into 3 parts: you, community, world. Brownies work towards interest badges, as of 2016 there are 57.
Over a million Australian women are or have been Guides. The Girl Guide emblem incorporates the Commonwealth Star.

The man who became known as B-P was born Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell in London on 22 February, 1857, the son of an Oxford University professor.
It was established in 1914, when Rustomji Edulji Sethna (1898–1954) came across the book Scouting for Boys, written by Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scout movement. He was enamoured by the book and formed one of India's first Scout groups for native boys.

The Irish Girl Guides (Irish: Treoracha CailÃnà na hÉireann) is a Girl Guides organisation in the Republic of Ireland. Together with the Catholic Guides of Ireland, it forms the Council of Irish Guiding Associations.
The Boy Scouts have their own program and last year opened to both boys and girls with no change in the curriculum. She said girls can join Girls Scouts if they don't like Scouting under BSA. “These are different programs with different opportunities.

Countries with no Scouting There are five countries where Scouting, to WOSM's knowledge, does not exist; in some it would not be allowed. These are: Andorra, People's Republic of China, Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Brownie OriginsOnce upon a time, the level of Girl Scouting we know as Brownies was called Rosebuds. But the girls who were Rosebuds didn't like their name, so they asked Lord Baden-Powell (the founder of Boy Scouting, which later inspired Juliette Gordon Low to create Girl Scouting) to come up with a new name.
