John Ingle, 84, an actor who played scheming patriarch Edward Quartermaine on the daytime drama “General Hospital,†died of cancer Sunday in Los Angeles, ABC said.
They have two children together: son Alan, who died in 2007; and daughter Tracy. Edward also has an illegitimate son with mistress Beatrice LeSeur, Jimmy Lee Holt. In 1994, it was revealed that Edward had another son, Bradley Ward, with his mistress from World War II, Mary Mae Ward. However, Bradley was killed in 1974.
David Lewis (October 19, 1916 – December 11, 2000) was an American actor. He was best known for being the original actor to portray Edward Quartermaine from 1978 to 1993 on the American soap opera General Hospital.
Character History. Jimmy Lee Holt came from Indiana to Port Charles in 1983 with his mother, Beatrice LeSeur. They spitefully announced that Jimmy was Edward Quartermaine's illegitimate son! Unable to deny this sordid truth, Edward was forced to accept that he had sired a child with his past mistress.
