A city. that is set on an hill cannot be hid. The World English Bible translates the passage as: You are the light of the world.
The passengers of the Arbella who left England in 1630 with their new charter had a great vision. They were to be an example for the rest of the world in rightful living. Future governor John Winthrop stated their purpose quite clearly: "We shall be as a city upon a hill, the eyes of all people are upon us."
Boston was built on three hills, and it's original name was Tremont. The three hills were Beacon, Pemberton, and Mt Vernon. The last two were demolished for landfill material to build the financial district. All that's left is Beacon Hill - and the top portion of that was removed to make space for the new State House.

"A City upon a Hill" is a phrase derived from the parable of Salt and Light in Jesus's Sermon on the Mount. In a modern context, it is used in United States politics to refer to America acting as a "beacon of hope" for the world.
On 9 January 1961, President-Elect John F. Kennedy quoted the phrase during an address delivered to the General Court of Massachusetts:

At least, not on Showtime. “After seven incredible seasons, Ray Donovan has concluded its run on Showtime,” Showtime's statement reads.

What We Do in the Shadows is an American comedy horror television series created by Jemaine Clement that premiered March 27, 2019, on FX. It is the second television series in the What We Do in the Shadows franchise. In May 2019, FX renewed the series for a 10-episode second season that debuted on April 15, 2020.
Producers announced Thursday that shooting will end Oct. 31, with the completion of the show's 10th episode. Six scripts had been written for additional episodes, but NBC has decided not to go ahead with the series at this time. "Bluff City Law" has not been canceled, however.
