In answer to your question, an XXL is the next size up from an XL (Girth, Sleeves, Length) A 2XL is the same dimensions as an XL in length with a little more girth. Hope this helps!

When looking at dress shirt size the first number on the size tag refers to the neck size, the second number to the sleeve length. As an example a shirt marked “15 ½ 32/33” would mean the man wears a 15 ½ inch neck size and a 32 or 33 inch sleeve length.

Most adult male neck sizes range between 14 - 19 inches (35.5 - 48.3 cm), with the average neck circumference being around 15 inches. Like excess stomach fat, having a larger neck size is not good for your health.
First measure the collar size. Place the tape measure around your neck and add half an inch to get the most comfortable fit. Start from the top of the centre back, just below the collar and measure to your shoulder. Then measure from your shoulder to your wrist bone.
In most people, a neck size greater than 16 or 17 inches is a sign of excess fat in the neck area.
An XXL is generally the largest size in Misses clothing (very rarely do you see misses/straight sizes in a 20). An XXL fits like a 1X in my experience. An XXL is NOT the same as a 2X. As a result, I've finally entered into the larger of the Misses sizes and can wear both plus and straight sized clothes.

To determine your size, measure the following areas: bust, waist and hips.
- Head size.
- Bust/Chest.
- Under Bust Circumference.
- Waist.
- Hips/Fulles part of Hips.
- Ankle size.
- Shoe size.
- Bust. Thread your tape measure under your arms, across your shoulder blades on your back and around the fullest part of your bust on your front.
Ask out of curiosity where their shirt is made and reach back for their tag to check it (but you are actually checking the size, tee-hee). Ask someone closer to them than you who would know without having to ask.
It's a good idea to buy clothes that are meant to have an oversized appearance and that you're able to buy in your size. If you just want a piece to be a bit looser than it should be, always stay within two to three sizes of your standard size to avoid unflattering all-over bagginess.

I'm 6'4 and really skinny, I have to avoid most mediums because they're a little too short, but at 6 foot they should fit nicely. A large might look kinda baggy, but if you're going for comfort over looks like me, I'd go with a large. If you are trying to look good a medium would most likely fit you the best.
Dress shirts rely on two measurements, neck size, and sleeve length. The neck size appears first, and increases by half inches range from 13" to 19". The second number is the sleeve length. Every shirt has two length options that depend on which of the buttons you are using on the cuff.
Mark increments on the material.
- If you use a material that is long, you can mark off every 6 or 12 inches on it to measure longer lengths of the body, like inseam.
- If you don't have a ruler, you can measure lengths with standard objects like printer paper or a dollar bill.
