This says a lot, not only about Goku's power and abilities, but also his character. He's very determined and can easily fight Naruto in any one of his forms. While each varies in its power level, we're certain he has a few outside of his divine-like form that would also be enough to take down the shinobi!
Secondly, the main difference is that Kai lacks the filler content of the original Dragon Ball Z, and stops at the end of the Cell saga. Some (like myself) enjoyed the filler, while others thought it to be extra fluff. Kai is more faithful to the manga than the original anime was.
It just depends on your preference. Dragon Ball Z is the uncut original content, and many fans enjoy it the most because of all the nostalgia. DBZ kai is the definitive version of DBZ as it is much more accurate to the manga, has better voice acting, touched up animation, less filler, and better pacing.
If you're a fan of Dragon Ball, I'd say it's worth a watch. The end sequence is by far the best anime ending to any of the Dragon Ball series, considering it was, at the time, thought to be the final piece of Dragon Ball media. GT gets a bad reputation from internet dwellers with a hate boner.
Dragon Ball Z is like if the only thing they had in a series was endless filler arcs. Naruto has an actual overarching plot. DBZ is more consistently good, but Naruto has better high points and final fights.
Dragon Ball GT was never 'canon' in the sense that Toriyama Akira didn't work on it. Officially, it's considered non canon to the series. Toriyama himself said that it's a side story.
Vegeta killed the most bad guys in the manga while Goku killed most of the 13 movie villains and the villains in GT.
In my opinion, the Funimation dub is the best dub for Dragon Ball Z. Admittedly, it suffered from shortcomings in the beginning, especially since Sean Schemmel was not experienced with portraying Goku and Christopher Sabat had a different Vegeta voice.
Goku is left stranded on Namek as the planet finally explodes, vanishing completely from the face of the galaxy. King Kai, once his antennae recover, searches the universe but cannot find Namek or Goku anywhere. King Kai then realizes that Goku has been killed in the explosion.
Many of the Saiyans in the anime get their tails removed, but on some occasions, they grow back. The Daizenshuu description is that the tail will often suddenly grow back if the Saiyan is in danger; such as when it did during Goku's match against Giran or for Gohan during the battle against Vegeta.

Pure Buu was defeated by Goku using a Spirit Bomb powered by every last ounce of power the people of Earth could give him without dying, combined with a little extra push from Goku as a Super Saiyan. Pure Buu was eventually reincarnated as the human Uub.
The manga version of Dragon Ball Super may have opened the door for Cell to make a long-awaited return to the anime. Cell returned in the filler episodes in the Buu Saga as one of many dead villains in Otherworld to attack Goku.
The good news for Manga fans is that Dragon Ball is now on Netflix. The not so good news is that it's currently only available on Netflix Japan. This means you can only enjoy the adventures of Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and the others if you have a Japanese IP address.

Dragonball Z can be regarded as pioneer of anime. It was also my first anime as it is of many anime fans. Sure it is very good and it will always be one of the most popular anime but I think it's overrated. Except very few moments he or any other character in the anime has used an intelligent battle plan.
So some may consider it the best but you also have other people who will try to down you for that thought and regardless it's your opinion their is no absolute best anime. However, The Dragonball Series has propelled many other animes and they have been inspirations for many characters, parody episodes, and just

The title "Dragon Ball Z" was chosen by Akira Toriyama because Z is the last letter of the alphabet and he wanted to finish the series because he was running out of ideas for Dragon Ball. Conventional knowledge in Japan used the "Z" only for the anime to separate Goku's childhood and adult life.
It is very popular here in the USA. Naruto has awesome action and a healthy dose of slice of life style elements that appeal to a wide variety of audiences, so its become one of the most popular animes ever, world wide.
Goku is more famous because he is the main character, and because his design and tropes are generally interesting. Goku is a character that can fit almost everywhere, and has defined himself as what he is, and what he is is entertaining. He is damned near a character that can be interpreted in almost any situation.
Saiyan Saga
5 years after the end of the Dragon Ball saga, Goku and his friends' peaceful lives have been shattered by a alien invader.Akainu and Aokiji fought for 10 days, before the latter lost and the former became the fleet admiral, surpassing Sengoku. It's only briefly mentioned, but that is the longest fight scene I've heard of.
Should I skip the Garlic Jr. Saga? Its entirely filler, but if it bored you even as a kid you might as well just skip it. Easily the worst filler arc in the show.
Goku has died a total of five times. I said 2ce, against Raditz and against cell. But he said 3 times, against those two, and against Frieza. He said that Goku was lying dead on the ground/in the water until they wished for everyone killed by Frieza was brought back, and then Goku came back to life.

Dragon Ball Super (2015–2018)
3. Dragon Ball Super comes after Dragon Ball Z. It's form original creator, not like GT (Dragon Ball GT isn't connected to this).Goku is introduced in the Dragon Ball manga and anime at approximately 11 or 12 years of age (initially, he claims to be 14, but it is later clarified during the Tournament Saga that this is because Goku had trouble counting), as a young boy living in obscurity on Mount Paozu.
