It was stated in the First Databook that Hashirama was killed in battle sometime after defeating Kakuzu, but not before passing the title of Hokage to Tobirama. Then it's a plot hole because there was nobody in that era besides Madara who could possibly kill Hashirama.
By the end of the series, Naruto is the strongest ninja in history. He has the six paths sage mode and he possesses an enormous amount of chakra. Hashirama doesn't really have a chance against Naruto. Naruto's power is far beyond the reach of a shinobi.

Hashirama was stronger than Madara, but he wasn't in a different league like some people like to exaggerate. Excluding the Valley of the End Battle, every fight they've had has ended up in a draw, and they both fought with everything they had for their clans.
The only person known to be strong enough to fight him is Sasuke Uchiha, however, in their previous fight, Naruto emerged as the victor. Although the two are at a similar level, in terms of power, Naruto has the edge when it comes to stamina and chakra.
Pretty dang powerful. At his full power as the Ten tails jinchuriki, he should be able to destroy a small planet. I say this because Kaguya is shown to be able to destroy a planet sized dimension, and Madara is not too much weaker than Kaguya. Not only is he powerful, he has the skill and techniques to back it up.
Obito did not awaken the Rinnegan because he was not a reincarnation of Indra or lacked Indra's chakra. Hagoromo( Sage of the Six Paths) was the first and original user of the Rinnegan. In order to awaken the Rinnegan one needs to recreate his chakra by mixing the chakra of Indra and Ashura.
Obito Senju is from the Senju clan . He is the grandson of Orochimaru and Tsunade. After learning about the hokage Obito decided to make it his dream to become hokage one day.
Obito did indeed have Asura Otsutsuki's chakra thanks to Hashirama's cells. However, he couldn't get his hands on Indra's chakra. Madara Uchiha also awakened the Rinnegan because he himself was Indra's Reincarnation, so when Asura's chakra mixed with Indra's, it gave him the Rinnegan.
When obito was crushed during the 3rd ninja war he was rescued by Madera and Madera used the same cells from white zetsu to reconstruct obitos arm and leg. Therefore giving obito the ability to use wood style.
White Zetsu is part Hashirama due to Madara. But Black Zetsu is the part that is made by Kaguyas will. Think of them as symbiotic organisms to each other separate though indistinguishable due to always being found together.
Nagato, an Uzumaki known for Life Force and Endurance, was crippled using the Rinnegan. Obito has little of that, yes he's enhanced with Hashirama DNA but not to that degree.

Well, the Sage of Six Paths had two sons, one was Uchiha and the other was Senju. So the Uzumaki and Senju clans are closely related. So, yes, Naruto is related to Hashirama, as well as Tobirama and Tsunade. Naruto is also related to the Hyuuga clan (the Sage's brother was the ancestor) as well as the Uchiha clan.
The other reason it is so hard to tell how strong Tobirama is, is because that is all we are told of his death. That he sacrificed himself for his squad. If either the anime or manga told us how many of them he killed, or how he killed some of them then we could better gauge him. It is possible Tobirama killed them.
