Fruits pap
- 1 red apple.
- 1 ? (pear)
- Banana (1 or 2)
- 1 orange.
- Peel the skin of the apple,orange and pear.
- Remove the seeds chop into small pieces (apple and pear) And steam for 2-3 mins.
- Blend the apple and pear to puree.
- Scroop into baby's plate.
Today's recipe is a special kind of corn pudding common in Nigeria. It's local names include Akamu by the Igbos, Ogi by the Yorubas and generally Pap in Nigeria. It is very similar to the British custard which is made from dehydrated cornstarch with some added flavors.
Amp up the flavour with your favourite herbs and spices such as mixed herbs, paprika or cinnamon. Make your favourite pap recipe, then whip out that can of sweetcorn you've been dying to open. Drain the sweetcorn, then add it to the hot pap with plenty of grated cheese.

There is no problem with eating maize meal porridge or 'pap' as it is known in South Africa if you are not suffering from insulin resistance or diabetes. Maize meal porridge has unfortunately got a high glycaemic index (GI) if it is eaten hot.
Steps
- Soak the Joro or millet in water for 24 hours.
- Wash it very well and add the ginger and garlic to your taste.
- Grind it very smooth and sieve to remove chaff.
- Allow it to settle and pour in akamu bag to allow the remaingng water to go out.
- Your pap is ready. You can add milk and sugar or honey.
- Enjoy.
Steps
- Soak clean millet in a bucket of water over night.
- Wash the millet well to remove dirt(small stones) and put clean water, ginger, glove and dry pepper.
- Grind the millet with grinding machine and use clean sieving cloth with enough water to sieve until it's just the chaff remaining.
