Now let us look ahead to the new Disney movies coming out in 2020.
- Onward (March 6, 2020)
- Mulan (March 27, 2020)
- Artemis Fowl (May 29, 2020)
- Soul (June 19, 2020)
- Jungle Cruise (July 24, 2020)
- The One and Only Ivan (August 14, 2020)
- Raya and the Last Dragon (November 25, 2020)
These are the major movies coming to Disney Plus in the US throughout 2020 and 2021 that we know about right now:
- Disney's A Christmas Carol: November 6.
- Planes: November 20.
- Planes: Fire Rescue: November 20.
- The Real Right Stuff: November 20.
- Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day: November 27.
That is primarily due to “pre-existing agreements” with other streaming platforms. That includes Marvel movies like Black Panther, which debuted on Disney's subscription service March 4, 2020.
In a surprise removal, the live action version of Cinderella has been removed from Disney+ in the United States. The film stars Dowton Abbey's Lily James as Cinderella, with Cate Blanchett playing the Wicked Stepmother.
As a result, some fans are wondering how they can watch the original film that inspired the franchise. Unfortunately, Shrek is not available for streaming on Netflix or Disney+.
And as sad as it sounds, it may be also be the case for other R-rated Fox films such as Logan.
If you sign up for either the Start Unlimited plan or Do More Unlimited plan, you can get the service for free for six months. If you sign up for the Play More Unlimited plan or the Get More Unlimited Plan, you can get not only Disney Plus for free, but also ESPN Plus and Hulu (with ads) for free as well.
Disney Plus includes thousands of Disney-owned TV shows and movies in a clean, easy-to-use interface, making it well worth the $7 per month. Just like seemingly everything else Disney does, from Rise of Skywalker to Avengers: Endgame to Galaxy's Edge, its streaming service is a phenomenon.
Disney Plus has a much lower price, but its library of content, while pretty large, doesn't compare to Netflix. Also, Netflix has it beat on the number of its original TV shows and movies, and that will be the case for years to come. If you are looking for content that's more adult and edgier, Netflix wins hands down.
If your connection is slow, it could be compromising your video quality. To test your Internet connection, take a speed test. Use of an in-line video or game recorder may prevent playback or limit the video and audio quality in order to protect from piracy.
When you look at the vast content library, the $6.99 price tag is worth it. Yes, Disney will inevitably raise the price over the years, but even if it reaches a comparable-to-Netflix $11.99/month, Disney+ has the goods. Of course, nostalgia can only last you for so long, so Disney is also branching out into originals.
Even if you only want Disney+ and Hulu, it's still worth it to get the bundle, because it's essentially the same price ($12.98). That being said, if you're just looking for Hulu and ESPN+ or Disney+ and ESPN+, then it may make more sense to just subscribe to the two individually, because it'll save you a buck or two.
Disney Channel, XD and Junior will be taken off air and be exclusively available on streaming service Disney+ from October 1. It comes after the company failed to agree on new deals with pay-TV platforms Sky and Virgin, however its other brands including Nat Geo and Fox will continue to broadcast.
For what it's worth, Disney Plus made a statement to Business Insider: “Disney takes the privacy and security of our users' data very seriously and there is no indication of a security breach on Disney+.” And if Disney Plus offers 2FA at any point in the future, set it up right away.
Can I cancel Disney Plus anytime? Yes – just like other streaming services you can cancel Disney Plus anytime. If you're paying monthly and cancel, you can carry on using Disney Plus until your next scheduled payment date – at which point you will not be recharged and your subscription will end.
Disney+ is only available on Sky Q. You'll need to upgrade your box to a Sky Q box to be able to use the app.
For those ready to subscribe, the Disney Plus service costs $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year. While Disney initially offered new customers a free seven-day trial for Disney Plus, this option is no longer available. Instead, new subscribers must commit to at least one month of service in order to test out the platform.
Big blockbuster movies like the updated Lion King and the 2019 version of Aladdin are included in the Disney Plus library, as is the second series of The Mandalorian of course (with news continuing to drip in about that). You'll be able to tune into all of this if you sign up for Disney+ in the UK.

A number of Walt Disney Animation and Pixar films are apparently deemed unsuitable for a Disney+ Kids Profile. These movies include the likes of Moana, Cars 3, Onward and even the original Fantasia.
You're now able to stream Moana on Disney+ wherever you're connected to the internet. Disney's new direct-to-consumer streaming service is now available in the U.S. and Canada and will eventually be rolling out worldwide.
The move comes after the company failed to agree on new deals with pay-TV platforms Sky and Virgin. A spokesperson said that they 'remain committed to our kids channels business' with plans to 'execute distribution agreements for Disney channels in many markets where Disney+ is also available'.
'Harry Potter' is not on Disney's subscription service, Disney+ Disney has everything from Star Wars: The Force Awakens to Diary of a Wimpy Kid on their streaming platform. However, the Harry Potter franchise is missing from their library. The movies are not available on the popular streaming platform, Netflix, either.
MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL has finally arrived on Disney Plus, meaning fans can watch the two movies back to back on the same platform.
Frozen 2 is streaming on Disney Plus now for US subscribers. International subscribers, including Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to on March 17th.
Netflix has an amazing collection of movies and television shows. A lot of this content has a feel-good factor to it and is very wholesome. Though 'Wonder' is not on Netflix, you can chill out with 'Benji' that is adventurous, while remaining inspiring.

The R-rated shenanigans of Deadpool are very unlikely to end up on Disney+, though, but Disney recently purchased over 67% of Hulu, meaning the two films will likely reside there. While the news might be disappointing to some, Deadpool is definitely not available on Netflix and in all likelihood, it never will be.
A.N.T.Farm is coming to #DisneyPlus next month. Start streaming all 3 seasons on June 26.
Pair of Kings (2010-2013) is Missing from Disney+ (Disney XD Summer) Fans of Pair of Kings and its unique story idea, however, are disappointed that this show is missing from Disney+. Brady (Mitchel Musso) and Boomer (Doc Shaw) are fraternal twins who live in Chicago with their aunt and uncle.
Disney has plans to add more movies, TV shows, and original productions to the already-impressive list of launch titles throughout the remainder of 2020. Since launching in November, Disney has been rolling out new additions to the service nearly every week.
