Authorizations are a key part of any sale, giving merchants the ability to identify if funds are available to complete a transaction. Authorization reversals notify the issuer that all, or part, of a sale has been cancelled and that the authorization hold should be released.
When a buyer makes a purchase and uses PayPal, the online payment service may put the money on hold for up to 21 days in certain instances. The funds will be released when the buyer confirms that he or she has received the item in the promised condition. You can also expedite the release of funds in a few ways.

To resolve a 20005 (Declined - Do not honour) response, try the following:
- Ask the customer to contact their bank, explaining that they are trying to process a payment. The customer can ask the bank to allow the payment.

"Error code 200" means that your issuing bank cannot complete the payment. The most common reason is insufficient funds. It could also be a temporary error, so you could wait a while and then try again.
