Religion deals with private affairs of life whereas Deen covers all aspects of life, individual as well as collective. In other words Deen is all embracing term which includes religio-socio-politico-economic system.
According to the Islamic statement of witness, or shahada, “There is no god but Allahâ€. Muslims believe he created the world in six days and sent prophets such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, and lastly Muhammad, who called people to worship only him, rejecting idolatry and polytheism.
In Islam, Jannah (Arabic: جَنّة‎, romanized: janna, pl. جَنّٰت jannÄt, Turkish: Cennet), lit. "paradise, garden", is the final abode of the righteous and the Islamic believers, The Garden of Eden, where Adam and Hawa dwelt is also called Jannah.
Imam al-Ghazzali, reported several hadith and came to the conclusion that music in and of itself is permitted, saying: "All these Ahadith are reported by al-Bukhari and singing and playing are not haram." He also references a narration from Khidr, wherein a favorable opinion of music is expressed.
The walima is performed after the nikah (Arabic: نكاØâ€Ž) or marriage ceremony. walima is used as a symbol to show domestic happiness in the household post-marriage. While walima is often used to describe a celebration of marriage, it is also held to celebrate the birth of a newborn and the purchase of a new home.
Nikah. The marriage contract is signed in a nikah ceremony, in which the groom or his representative proposes to the bride in front of at least two witnesses, stating the details of the meher. Then the couple and two male witnesses sign the contract, making the marriage legal according to civil and religious law.
There is a rule as to how a wedding ring must be worn in Islam. The women may wear on any finger they choose but the men are NOT allowed to do so. Muslim men must not wear the ring on their index or middle finger, as per the hadith. A Muslim man is said to be Makruh if he wears a wedding ring on those fingers.
But Islam does not forbid love. Ismail Menk, a renowned Islamic scholar, argues in one of his lectures that love, within boundaries and with expectations of marriage, is an accepted fact of life and religion — if done the right way. The Personal Status Law of Muslims, 1991, allows the marriage of a girl from puberty. Ten years-olds can be married with judicial authorization. The Marriage of Non-Muslims Act of 1926 sets the age of marriage at 13 for non-Muslim girls, and 15 for non-Muslim boys.

In societies that practice polygamy, the specific type is polygyny, which is having more than one wife (polyandrous unions, of having more than one husband, are much less common). Muslim societies allow for up to four wives, but not without specific rules and regulations.
And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure†(9:108). Furthermore, in one of his sayings the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has termed cleanliness as half of faith.
Following is the ways to maintain our personal hygiene:
- Wash hands before eating meals.
- Take a shower daily and wear clean clothes.
- Do brushing and flossing twice in a day for oral hygiene.
- Cut or trim nails regularly to remove dirt.
Cleanliness gives rise to a good character by keeping body, mind, and soul clean and peaceful. Maintaining cleanliness is the essential part of healthy living because it is the cleanliness only which helps to improve our personality by keeping clean externally and internally.
Cleanliness is both the abstract state of being clean and free from germs, dirt, trash, or waste, and the habit of achieving and maintaining that state. Whereas purity is usually a quality of an individual or substance, cleanliness has a social dimension and direction or implies a system of interactions.
á¹ahÄra, (Arabic: “purityâ€) system of ritual purity in Islam. This system is based on two premises: the first is that humans lapse from a state appropriate to ritual activity as a result of certain bodily acts, such as defecation, sexual intercourse, or menstruation.
Cleanliness in Islam is of three kinds: 1- Purification from impurity (i.e. to attain purity or cleanliness, by taking a bath ghusl or performing ablution wudu' in states in which a bath or ablution is necessary or desirable according to Islamic Law. 2- Cleansing one's body, dress or place from an impurity of filth.
' The goal of meditating and 'worship' ('ibÄda) for Muslims is to remember God, the Sustainer, Creator, and Caretaker of all existence. In traditional Islam, the knowledge pertaining to this meditative practice is 'IḥsÄn,' or 'Spiritual Excellence,' which has been the preserve of Tasawwuf, or 'Sufism.
The Prophet Muhammad and the Origins of Islam.
For a Muslim, every action begins with your intention: Quietly, to yourself, make the intention to embrace Islam as your faith. Say the following words with clarity of intention, firm faith, and belief: Say: "Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill Allah." (I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah.)
There are five daily prayers in the Muslim faith. While the basic requirement is that all Muslims should pray five times a day, the reality is that faith is practiced at the discretion of the follower. Some Muslims are stricter than others, while some cannot pray at certain times (i.e. menstruating women).
Muslims pray five times a day – at dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset and evening – facing toward the Ka'bah, which is the House of God, in the Great Mosque at Makkah. They may pray wherever they are when prayer-time arrives, in any clean place, preferably in the company of other Muslims.
Muslims have six main beliefs.
- Belief in Allah as the one and only God.
- Belief in angels.
- Belief in the holy books.
- Belief in the Prophets e.g. Adam, Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Dawud (David), Isa (Jesus).
- Belief in the Day of Judgement
- Belief in Predestination
Muslims place their right hand over their left on their chest or navel while in the standing position (this may vary according to the subdivision followed). A short supplication glorifying God and seeking His protection is read. This is then followed by Surah Al Fatiha, which is the first chapter in the Qur'an.
As one of the pillars of Islam, zakat is a form of obligatory charity that has the potential to ease the suffering of millions. With the literal meaning of the word being 'to cleanse,' Muslims believe that paying zakat purifies, increases and blesses the remainder of their wealth.
A single honest recitation of the Shahadah in Arabic is all that is required for a person to become a Muslim. This declaration, or statement of faith, is called the Kalima, which literally means "word". Recitation of the Shahadah the "oath/testimony", is the most important of the Five Pillars of Islam for Muslims.
