How to Scan (or Rescan) For Channels
- Make sure your TV is connected to an antenna.
- Press the “Menu” button on your remote control.
- Find and select the “Channel Scan” option in your TV's menu.
- If you can't find the “Channel Scan” option, dig through the TV's “Settings,” “Tools,” “Channels,” or “Options” menu.
Press MENU on your remote. Select Settings, then Info & Test to see your receiver info.
- Press the HOME button.
- Select Programme Guide from the Apps row.
- Press the Action Menu and scroll to the TV Section.
- Select the Yellow colour to enter the Edit Channels mode.
- Enter your Sony PIN.
- Scroll up/down and press the centre of the track pad to select the channel(s) you want to hide.
Use the down arrow to go to “Settings & Help.” Press {SELECT}.
- Then, use the right arrow to make sure “Favorite Channels” is highlighted and press {SELECT} again.
- Here you have the option to choose a favorites list that you want to switch to or edit.
Guides are distributed through DirecTV affiliates online, the TV Guide Channel and through your remote's additional features.
- Press the guide button on your DirecTV remote.
- Visit DirecTV.com to see an online version of the channel guide.
- Visit channel 237 on your DirecTV to see the TV Guide Network.
Method 1: Press the reset button
- Locate the reset button. On most DIRECTV receivers, there is a small red button located inside the access card door. With others, the button is on the side of the receiver.
- Press the red button, then wait for your receiver to reboot.
Your non-DVR Receiver can automatically tune to the right channel at the right time. Select your program from the GUIDE and then select AUTOTUNE. Watch eight different news or sports broadcasts at the same time. Highlight a channel and press SELECT to tune directly to that channel.
