The new studio name will be “Trilith Studios,” and Trilith will be the name of the master development featuring custom homes and micro-villages, chef driven restaurants and schools targeted for those in the film and creative industries.
Do you arrange studio tours? Pinewood Studios is not generally open to the public for tours. We operate a cinema that is open to the public onsite at Pinewood and Shepperton. We also host TV shows which are recorded with a live studio audience.
More Stories by Bryn. Pinewood Atlanta Studios is reinventing itself. The Georgia-based production facility, long home to blockbuster films like the Avengers movies, is ditching the Pinewood name and rebranding as Trilith.
The Harry Potter films were filmed all over the UK and many locations you can visit on our tours. Some of the fictional locations like Diagon Alley were sets filmed at Leavesden Film Studios, but many of the external shots can be found in locations around Oxford, London and Scotland.
While Leavesden Studios in Watford was the main home of the films, and is where the Warner Bros. Studio Tour is now hosted, it shared the studio work on films three and four with Surrey's own Shepperton Studios.
Shepperton is a lovely area, with a great community spirit. There are a good range of shops in the small high street along with some very good restaurants.
Shepperton Studios is not generally open to the public for tours. However, occasionally we do hold special events and openings at the studio. Please register your interest here. We also operate a cinema that is open to the public onsite at Pinewood and Shepperton.
On May 25th, 1978, a very rusty Who entered London's Shepperton Studios to film a mini-concert for their career-spanning documentary The Kids Are Alright.
Superman II (1980)Chobham Common, the largest National Nature Reserve in the south-east of England, was transformed for Superman II. A mock up of a small American town with a tarmac road, shops, a car lot and more was constructed to replicate where the super villains land on earth.
Chobham Test Track (Longcross Proving Ground) is an Alpine Circuit near London and consists of 2 miles of twists, turns and awesome straights.
