Southwest will no longer fly out of Newark because of Boeing 737 Max groundings. 3, Southwest Airlines will cease operations at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), citing the grounding of Boeing 737 Max 8 planes as the catalyst for the decision.

Best way: by train. From Penn Station (8th Ave and 33rd St) take NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor line (final destination Trenton) to New Brunswick. By bus (but why?): From Port Authority Bus Terminal (8th Ave and 41st St) take Suburban Transit to New Brunswick, and get off at the New Brunswick train station.
Amtrak Northeast Regional operates a train from Newark Liberty International Airport to New Brunswick Amtrak Station once daily. Tickets cost $35 - $60 and the journey takes 20 min.
