If you get an unknown call on your office phone, pick up your phone and dial *69 right away to call the number back. Usually, this code works, and if someone answers, you can ask who you are speaking with.
The way the app works is, whenever you get an incoming call that's private or blocked, just double-click the sleep/wake button to decline the call so it's sent to TrapCall for unmasking. This call is then, within seconds, unmasked and sent back to your phone.
Don't Answer Calls From Unknown Numbers. You either answered every phone call or you ignored every phone call. If you ignored, they would hopefully leave a detailed message including their phone number. With Caller ID and the ability to save your contacts, it's very easy to identify incoming callers as known or unknown
Though emergency hotlines like 911 can unmask blocked calls as well, TrapCall is the only mobile app that unmasks the phone number behind private callers. TrapCall can unmask any private caller. We can even unmask the private caller's full name and address on our Premium and Ultimate plans.
The best thing you can do is to simply ignore any phone calls from unknown numbers. If it's important, they will either leave a message or call you back and leave a message. Your time, identity, and other personal information is not worth the risk.
Select Settings > Blocked numbers and add the number you'd like to block. You can also block calls by opening the Phone app and tapping on Recents. Choose the number you'd like to block by tapping on it and selecting Block/report spam. Finally, you can also block a number directly from the Android Messages app.
Calls that show up as "No Caller ID" means that the caller has blocked their number from appearing when calling you. When it comes up as "Unknown" it normally means that the network was not able to get the information when the call was made.
If there is no caller id there will not be any way you will be able to trace the call.
Unblock a number
- Open your Phone app .
- Tap More .
- Tap Settings. Blocked numbers.
- Next to the number you want to unblock, tap Clear. Unblock.
To do this: Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb or slide up the icon bar on your iPhone and tap the Moon icon, this will silence No Caller ID calls and will only allow calls to come through from contacts listed in your phone.
Use *57. One option to try to discover the identity of an unknown caller is a 57 call trace. Though this option does not work on all unknown calls, it does work on some so it's worth trying. To use it simply dial 57 on your phone and you will be given the previous caller's number.
You can not find out who a “No Caller ID” caller is. Note you can easily block a phono number/contact individually by going to Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification. The terms “No Caller ID”, “Private Caller“, “Unknown Caller”, “Blocked Call”, or “Anonymous Call” are the same thing.
Because the people they call won't see their caller ID or possess the ability to call them back, they think they won't get caught. Blocking caller ID allows the caller to continue making these unwanted calls, as the recipient has no way to block them or reveal who the caller without a third party Android or iOS app.

A No Caller ID call is a regular phone call that has purposefully had identifying information stripped from it. These are also called blocked, hidden, masked, or unknown calls. Usually, this is done because whoever is calling you doesn't want to be tracked.
