In Kargil war Indian army brutally defeated the Pakistani army and regain the Kargil region. Kargil War Heroes and Memorial: July 26 has been marked as Kargil Vijay Diwas (Kargil Victory Day) in India to remember the martyred war heroes. Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav, 18 Grenadiers, got Param Vir Chakra.
