In the Manga he emerges from the infinite tsukoyomi in episode 699. No, he was paralyzed by Kabuto for using his chakra. But he is not dead. He has grown old, and is alive and well.
Sai Yamanaka (????, Yamanaka Sai) is a Chūbu of Konohagakure's Yamanaka clan.
"Yamato" is actually a codename given to him by Tsunade for the purposes of joining Team Kakashi. While Yamato was still in the ROOT, his codename was Kinoe (?, Kinoe.) His real name is Tenzō, as said before by his sister.
Yamato sank rapidly, losing an estimated 3,055 of her 3,332 crew, including fleet commander Vice-Admiral Seiichi Itō. The few survivors were recovered by the four surviving destroyers, which withdrew to Japan. From the first attack at 12:37 to the explosion at 14:23, Yamato was hit by at least 11 torpedoes and 6 bombs.

Yamato is not a clone of Hashirama in any sense. He's simply infused with Hashirama's cells. Just like Madara. Probably for the same reason Madara's Katons make Sasuke's look tiny: Because Madara's one of the strongest ninja ever.
Yamato isn't trapped anywhere, he's still a shinobi on duty in Konoha. Currently, he's playing parole officer for Orochimaru. Making sure no one enters Oro's hideout, and monitoring when Oro leaves the hideout and what activities are being done on the hideout.
Weighing 72,800 tons and outfitted with nine 18.1-inch guns, the battleship Yamato was Japan's only hope of destroying the Allied fleet off the coast of Okinawa. But insufficient air cover and fuel cursed the endeavor as a suicide mission. Struck by 19 American aerial torpedoes, it was sunk, drowning 2,498 of its crew.
TOKYO (AP) _ A salvage team announced today that wreckage found in the East China Sea is that of the World War II Japanese battleship Yamato, sunk in 1945 while on a desperate mission to try and turn the tide of the Pacific war. The Yamato was one of two 72,800-ton battleships which were the largest ever built.
Moreover, it was said, the Japanese royal family was descended from a Korean fifth-century King named Muryeong. Though primarily the Korean resentment arises from the Japanese colonial period (1910-1945), the hostility between the two nations is 700 years old and very mutual.
In a.d 500s a clan became strong enough to bring most of Japan under its rule. Other clans still held their lands, but had to give loyalty to the chief. What did Yamato chiefs claim? They claimed they came from the sun goddess and, therefore, and the right to rule Japan.
How did the Yamato clan influence future Japanese government? The Yamato clan dominated an area on Honshu that became the central area of Japanese government. The clan also established Japan's first and only dynasty. They produced the most important works of Japanese literature of the period.
The power of the Yamato aristocracyThe emergence of such powerful clans is evidenced by the increased elaboration of their burial mounds in comparison with the Yayoi period. As Yamato had increased the contact with mainland Asia, the items in the burial tombs reflected their power and influence.
How did the Yamato clan become so powerful? The took land by force. They also took control of land through marriage. They used iron and irrigation to build their economy.
Shinto is the traditional religion of Japan. S1-2b: How did the Yamato rulers gain power? They conquered the neighboring clans with their strong military. The Japanese court moved to Heian, which is now called Kyoto.
As a child, Yamato (Tenzo) was the only child to survive Orochimaru's experiments using Hashirama's cells. Danzo took him in as a member of The Foundation. Kakashi is senior to Yamato as he was recruited by the ANBU black ops before Yamato was, which means that Kakashi's rank in the ANBU was higher than Yamato's .
All of this being said, and probably lots more I forgot, I wouldn't say Yamato is Kage level. Because of his wood release though, he is a very high level Jounin much like Kakashi before Hokage.
From what we know about Yamato he is not married yet. He is still single. Who is the most gifted character in the Naruto franchise?
During the course of the mission, they learn of an opportunity to reunite with Sasuke, but Kakashi overexerts himself and needs extended bed-rest when they return to Konoha. Because they have only a limited amount of time to make to use of the intel, an Anbu codenamed Yamato is assigned as Kakashi's replacement.
The reason Kakashi calls Yamato “Tenzo” is because that's the name Yamato chose personally (somewhere around episode 356) and because Yamato's time with Yukimi is something dear to Yamato's heart.
As of the current story, naruto shippuden ended, naruto is the Hokages and yamato is no where to be seen. Yamato is assigned to watch over the actions of Orochimaru after the war. Orochimaru is no longer treated as a wanted man, so his actions are monitored because of his previous history going rogue.
Yamato was not a very strong ninja but he wasn't a weak one either. He had the unique wood style jutsu which was known to be possesed only by the first hokage. Those this ability of his was just a result of an experiment. He was trained in anbu and not to forget by Danzo himself!
From the final episode of the Naruto canon storyline, 479, we see that Yamato was released from the Infinite Tsukuyomi by Naruto and Sasuke. Afterwards, the God Tree was cut down, so the spiral zetsu that was controlling Yamato decomposed. Yay he's alive!

The origin of the name Japan is not certain, but researchers say it probably came from the Malayan ″Japung″ or the Chinese ″Riben,″ meaning roughly land of the rising sun. Historians say the Japanese called their country Yamato in its early history, and they began using Nippon around the seventh century.
Takahashi (??, lit. "high bridge") is the third most common Japanese surname.
The particle ? “no” is extremely versatile. It's used as the Japanese possessive particle, showing ownership, and more generally, as way to turn any noun into a modifier.
The exact word for no in Japanese is “??? (iie)”, but the Japanese actually use a wide range of expressions to avoid having to use a strong no. For example, they could say chotto that convey the “difficulty” to answer the request.
If you say "moto moto," it means "originally." e.g. ?????????????????( That couple worked at the same office originally.) If you say "motto motto," it means "more more" or "way more." e.g. ??????????!(
Although foreigners may use middle names in Japan, middle names for the Japanese themselves are completely unheard of in Japan, and documentation such as forms, passports, and family registries (equivalent to marriage and birth certificates) have no place to write a middle name.
