The lack of diversity and the excessive cost of the school are the worst things. For having to spend so much money, the food and housing are both mediocre at best. I really wish that Wake Forest was a little more diverse and people would spread out amongst friend groups.
Wake is known as a school for white, rich kids. Rich, smart, preppy. Wake is probably seen by others as an extremely preppy, Southern, conservative school--thanks in good part to the Baptist history it no longer maintains.
Wake Forest has a very driven and hard working student body. If you are looking for a party school and lots of free time, this is not the place for you. They don't call it "Work Forest" for nothing. Students who attends Wake Forest should be studious, outgoing, enthusiastic and service minded.
Wake Forest is a place that is socially active while very academically competitive. From personal experience, the professors genuinely care for their students and want them to succeed.
