To enable the feature, open the app, tap the four squares icon at the top and then open settings and tap privacy and then toggle Enable password to the on position.

Hide text messages on the Android lock screen
- Open your Android Settings.
- Go to the Privacy section.

- If you're running previous Android versions, go to Security & Location under settings.
- Tap on the Lock screen preferences under the Device security section.
Tap the "Settings" button on the iPhone's Home screen to launch the Settings application. Tap the "General" button, followed by the "Passcode Lock" button. Tap the "Turn Passcode On" button at the top of the screen. Your text messages are now protected, and cannot be accessed without the passcode.
When you get an important text message, locking it can help keep it from being deleted. However, the native Messages app on iOS doesn't have a lock feature for messages, which means that your iPhone's messages can be deleted at any time.
You may have noticed an option that says “Lock” whenever you tap and hold an individual text message from within some versions of the Android Messaging app. So if you lock a text message, then later wish to delete the entire thread that message is included in, it will leave the locked messages and delete the rest.
With Touch ID, you can lock Apps on your iPhone. (Go to the Settings option within the App, click Passcode & Touch ID and then switch on Use Touch ID. You can select to toggle on Use Passcode if you want to lock Apps on iPhone with password.)

Apple doesn't provide a native option for hiding text messages inside the Messages app. However, there's a useful Cydia tweak called HiddenConvos, which allows you to hide any conversation in the Messages app with a simple swipe and tap.
Go to Settings, then Notifications, and tap on Messages. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see an option called Show Previews. Tap the little toggle button so that it is no longer green. Now when you get a text or iMessage from someone, you will only see the name of the person and not the message.
