Set up or remove a Yahoo Mail account in the iOS Mail app
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Tap Accounts & Passwords.
- Tap Add Account.
- Tap Yahoo.
- Enter your Yahoo Mail address and password, then tap Sign in.
- Optionally, disable aspects of Yahoo Mail from syncing.
- Tap Save.
Open the Mail app. Choose Mail > Preferences, then click General. Choose an email app from the ”Default email reader” menu.

Create a new account or use an existing email address from any email provider; you'll just need to provide a password, date of birth, and a mobile number. Go to the Sign up page. Enter your info in the required fields. Click Continue and follow the onscreen prompts to verify your mobile phone number.
You can refresh the Mail app on your Mac computer by clicking the envelope icon, using a keyboard shortcut, or selecting the option from a drop-down menu. When you refresh Mail, all of your most recent emails will appear in your inbox.
Macbook, Mac
- Go to “System Preferences > Internet Accounts”.
- Choose as account type “Add a Mail account”, then click “Create”
- Enter your name, email address and password, then click “Create”.
- For Account type, choose IMAP or POP.
- For outgoing server repeat the same details as for incoming.

Update Yahoo apps on Android devices
- Open the Google Play Store app .
- Tap the Menu icon . - A sidebar menu appears.
- Tap My apps & games.
- Next to the Yahoo app, tap Update.

Microsoft Outlook for Mac

Add an email account to Mail on your Mac
- From the menu bar in Mail, choose Mail > Add Account.
- Select your email provider from the list, then click Continue.
- Some accounts, such as Google, might ask that you click Open Browser to complete authentication in your web browser.
Since the interface of both email clients are pretty good, it is a subjective perspective which one is better. Some users say that Outlook has a pure and user-friendly interface. As long as, the other side simple UI of Apple Mail, even more, because it will match the rest of Mac OS X environment.
Outlook for Mac is not free. You can't download Outlook on your Mac for free unless you try it out as a free 30-day trial version of Microsoft 365. You could use the free webmail version of Outlook at Outlook.com, or there are other POP and IMAP email clients that you may want to explore.
How to get Gmail on your Mac
- While on the Mail page, click 'Add Account.
- Choose 'Google' from the drop-down menu under 'Choose a mail account provider.
- Select 'Continue' and then click 'Open Safari' in the new box that will open.
- Enter your Gmail address and then select 'Next.
It's possible that the issue is with your internet browser. Clearing your internet browser's cache may help as well. If you're using a mobile device, make sure you're using the Yahoo Mail app and that it has the most recent update installed.

- Click Sign in at the top of any Yahoo page.
- Enter your Yahoo ID. - Optionally, select Stay signed in to let your browser to keep you logged in.
- Click Next.
- Enter your password, then click Sign in.
It's possible you (or someone else) has used that email address as the rescue address for a different Apple ID. If that's the case, you can't use it as the primary email address for an Apple ID.
