modified jungle edge biome
The tropical rainforest biome is an ecosystem that covers about 7% of the Earth's surface. They are found all over the world but the majority of the tropical rainforest lies in South America in Brazil. The weather in the tropical rainforest is rainy yet pleasant all year round, day or night.

A Mesa is a rare biome but is a brilliant source of clay, which is usually found only in riverbeds. This biome is fairly new to Minecraft, as it was added in 1.7. There is even a Mesa Bryce variation which looks like the real Bryce Canyon in Utah, USA.
Jungles in Minecraft were made much rarer in the 1.7 update, so if you are using that they're going to be much harder to find. However, biomes will now place themselves next to other biomes of the same climate, and because Jungles are warm, you should look near Deserts, Mesas, and Savanas.
Bamboo is a type of plant that spawns in jungles. It's used to breed pandas and craft scaffolding and sticks.
Head down the stairs to the basement and turn left to find a puzzle. This puzzle is made up of three levers on the wall. Flip the levers in the right order and a small room with a chest will be revealed. If you can't figure out the lever order, use a pickaxe to mine behind the second lever and you will find a chest.
Don't stand on top as you mine! Clear all blocks so you have a clear view of what you're about to do. Be careful as you proceed. At the bottom of the room under the temple, there is a pressure plate; landing on it will activate 9 TNT, which will almost certainly kill you if you have bad armor.

In each jungle temple, there is a puzzle, composed of a set of levers on the lower level. When the levers are flipped into the correct positions, a block on the middle level of the temple is removed from the floor, and a small room with a chest inside is revealed.
Desert temples can be entered through the small doorway at the front end (between the two square towers.) Inside, you should find a darkened chamber with a diamond-shaped design of orange clay and a single blue clay block in the very center.
Keep to the larger areas and don't start digging sideways until you can't find a way through anymore. Bombs also help with clearing the area and won't damage the temple if you find it, since temple blocks can only be harvested by the best hardmode picks. Spelunker Potions are a decent way to help find the Temple.
The Temple is entered via the Lihzahrd Door located at one of its two top corners. The door is initially locked, requiring a Temple Key to open, which is dropped by Plantera. Unlocking the door consumes one Temple Key from the player's inventory, and the door remains permanently unlocked for all players in the world.
Desert Temples look like pyramids; they have stairs going to the top, a main entrance and a few hidden ones, etc.. They are constructed mainly of sandstone, and have wool. Desert Temples are one of the most valuable structure, having the chests with valuables, and the blue wool and TNT to blow your friend up.
Villages don't generate in jungles or swamps normally, but sometimes a village on the edge of another biome will cross over. So you can find villagers that spawn in jungles or swamps, but it still isn't a jungle village.
To unlock the Lower Temple secret level in Desert Temple, you need to cross the bridge & get the location scroll. Once done, you can access the Lower Temple mission from the main mission menu.
