Istanbul Airport installs 'sleep pods' Istanbul Airport has installed 25 “sleeping cabins” for weary passengers in need of a nap before or after a flight. The service, called “IGA Sleepod”, sees cabins rented for €6 an hour between 0700 and 1900, and for €9 an hour between 1900 and 0700.
You can freshen up between flights by taking a shower during your layover at the New Istanbul Airport. There are several lounges (IGA Airport Lounge, Turkish Airlines Lounge Business and Turkish Airlines Lounge Miles&Smiles) offer shower facilities, as well as the YOTEL Istanbul Airport Hotel.

You can definitely leave the airport and see the city and enjoy yourself. In fact if both of your flights are with Turkish Airlines, then you can have either a free hotel (if you qualify with a "forced layover") or free guided tours, whichever is more convenient for you.

Well, the good news is that this has finally changed — the IGA Lounge at Istanbul Airport now belongs to Priority Pass. The lounge is open 24/7, and is located airside after passport control and to the left. Priority Pass members can stay for a maximum of three hours, and the lounge allows guesting privileges.
The IGA Lounge is about 48,000 square feet and has seating for nearly 600 passengers, so it's a huge lounge. Then even deeper into the lounge is more seating, including a TV area.
