Dry iron doesn't have that quality; they are basic irons that produce heat for ironing. The significant steam iron benefit is that it is excellent for fabric care; it can double up as dry iron, too, and then it can be used on any fabric you want to. Now it's clear that steam iron is much better than dry iron.
A Steam iron is infinitely more effective at removing wrinkles from clothing compared to the traditional dry iron. Steam penetrates fabrics and helps flatten creases in record time, where dry ironing requires more strokes of the iron, plus the help from a spray bottle, to get the same results.
It's easy to use your steam iron as a dry iron without water. If you want to use your steam iron as a dry iron, simply empty the water from the iron or set the iron to its dry heat setting. CAUSE: One of the reasons for iron press not heating up could be the build-up of Limescale deposits on the soleplate. These deposits can clog the plate and the iron wont heat or produce steam properly in such a case. SOLUTION: To resolve this issue, switch the iron off and let it cool down.
