Over the weekend, the Dallas Cowboys agreed to a contract with a quarterback. But it wasn't starting quarterback Dak Prescott. On Saturday, the Cowboys signed former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton to a 1-year deal worth up to $7 million. Cowboys placed exclusive franchise tag on QB Dak Prescott, per source.

Contract talks ramped up last summer when sources say the Cowboys offered Prescott a guaranteed deal worth $90 million but last September increased that offer to $105 million with an average salary of $33 million. He has the highest average salary in the NFL at $35 million.
