UCSD is a boring place because there's no real Greek system and the school is located in a snobby rich community of old white people. People talk about the "triton eye" or "triton vision" which means that so many people at UCSD aren't attractive and that one's standards of beauty are lowered.
It is not a party school legally. NO alcohol or smoking is allowed in the dorms or the villas offered by SCU. But yeah there are fraternities and other parties going on where you can get wasted each night and it is fun. and there are sometimes day parties too during the weekends.

Long Beach is not. It is a "commuter school." People go to class, then go home. Very small student dorms on campus. Cal isn't really known as a party school but you can find pretty much any scene you want there.
Harvard is lackluster and the parties aren't as fun as the ones at the state schools their friends attend. There are a number of real obstacles to creating the most vibrant social scene possible at Harvard. There are no large, off-campus bars or similar spaces catered to college students' nights out.
Both are true. UCLA is definitely a party school; between Greek Life and the social scene Thursday through Sunday nights, you can definitely find a place to "get jiggy with it." However, UCLA students are also serious about their academics; they are highly competitive and work hard to attain good grades.
