BioShock: The Collection is the best way to experience the world of Rapture and Columbia. All three games and their DLC look great and, despite a slightly creaky port of the first game, perform well.

Specifically, BioShock: The Collection includes remastered versions of BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite, plus all of their single-player DLC packs. There are a few caveats here: BioShock 2 in particular won't feature multiplayer content in the new bundle.
Bioshock is a very good game that many people have kept their kids from playing because of its rating. VIOLENCE: This game is full of blood and gore. The language in Bioshock is not that bad for anyone 12 or above.
The first BioShock doesn't hold up well as a great game to play in 2020, but that's because a lot of the elements it introduced were unique for 2007. There weren't many big games made back then that subverted player choice by forcing you to choose between two moral extremes, which could then impact the ending.
Bioshock 1 and 2 should be played in order however. Infinite is a standalone experience there is only a super small detail at the end of the game that connects the two. Burial at the sea expansion however for Bioshock Infinite should be played after Bioshock 1+2 for the best experience.
Suddenly it's much less stressful to explore. The game still has scary moments and frightening creatures, but the moment-to-moment experience is no longer terrifying. The survival part of survival horror is key to this tonal shift. The cornerstone of horror games is a constant, low-level feeling of powerlessness.
Stable performance, engrossing narratives, fun gameplay, and lots of content make this one an easy recommendation, even if these releases show their age from time to time. If you're looking for a good single-player shooter to pick up for your Switch, look no further than BioShock: The Collection.
The second chapter includes a nice stealth gameplay mechanic and ties the Bioshock Infinite story pretty well into the rest of the Bioshock universe. If you haven't played the earlier games, I'd recommend going through them first, then playing the Infinite DLC for the perfect series finale. Definitely worth.
Well, you have to look at the game and the story as one. That's what makes this game so critically acclaimed. The story and gameplay intertwine. Instead of cutscenes and gameplay being two separate entities to be looked at seperately like you're trying to describe, Bioshock was/is different.

Job listings have revealed that Bioshock 4 is targeting PS5 and that the developers at Cloud Chamber are creating a “new and fantastical world” for the FPS.
here is a quote from bioshock wiki page "A sequel, BioShock 2, was developed by 2K Marin and released on February 9, 2010." Definitely a sequel, but the multiplayer portion is a prequel - it takes place during the civil war that led to all the splicers tking over.
Bioshock has a much deeper combat sandbox than Infinite, and it makes the gameplay more enjoyable even with the weaker mechanics. Bioshock plays much more like a shooter with more depth and some RPG sensibilities, while Infinite plays much more like a straight up shooter. Bioshock has better gameplay.
Technically, BioShock Infinite has no multiplayer mode; you can only play the single-player story. At one point during BioShock Infinite's development, traditional multiplayer was in the works, yes.
