Production. Although it has commonly been claimed that the title "Durarara" is an onomatopoeia for the "revving of an engine," Narita states specifically in the first light novel volume that the name means absolutely nothing. He had been editing the finished draft of his book, when his editor called.

10 BaccanoThe anime is a melting pot of excitement, and, better yet, it is all set to a swanky jazz track-list. Fans have been questioning for years why this anime hasn't gotten a second season. It's been almost 13 years since the show has been released, and still, there is no news of a sequel.
-Interesting and likable characters. Durarara!! has a set of cool characters that didn't need ice powers or fire breathing stuff. Just pure, realistic, parkour, gun skills and manipulation. They're also very realistic and relatable that you can actually find a place for yourself over there.
It's not really an action anime, but there are some fighting scenes. It's pretty good though, and the character development is on point. It does contain action but it's not all about fighting. One of the best anime ever made in my opinion.
I would say
Durarara! is about the characters more than anything else.
Durarara! is a great example of a character-driven story. The
plot to
Durarara! isn't as easy to define, but I'd still say it's really good.
All discussions.
It's a story about what is going on in a city, which is told from multiple points of view. So you'll get pieces of the story from different angles from different people. Durarara is more about the story and the interaction that take place between the characters and their relationship to the city of Ikebukuro.
Baccano is one of the first anime I watched, and it's one of my favorite shows of all time. So I think you should be fine. Yeah, I really liked it and would reccomnded it to anyone who is new to anime. Just pay attention to the chronology, but it isn't that hard to follow.
Though a lot of the violence and death in Baccano! is stylized and meant to be darkly humorous, it's probably too intense for younger viewers. There's some horror in the series, but it's more unsettling than frightening.
Baccano is REALLY REALLY that good. If you love a show with twists and turns, hilarious, an epic story and amazing characters, it's prefect for you. I implore you to pick it up, as it's one of the best shows ever made.
Izaya displays some affection for his sisters when he sends Celty to stop some thugs picking on Kururi; he claims that he only did this because he needed a distraction for a job. However, he also sends Eijirou after some other thugs who were targeting Mairu when it was not work-related.
Canon. Ever since their meeting in high school, the two have hated each other, yet never leave the other alone. Izaya, despite living in Shinjuku, often goes to Ikebukuro for work, and is almost always caught by Shizuo.
Volume 12. Kasane Kujiragi gives Celty's head back to her after stealing it back from Izaya. The sudden reunion with her head causes an odd reaction in Celty which somehow gives her amnesia. Although Shinra is initially depressed, he resolves to help her regain her memories or at least create new ones.
