Things started to turn around in 2017 when Luke returned to Australia to host new series, Instant Hotel. But Luke was dealt yet another blow in 2018 when it was announced that he'd been replaced by former House Rules judge, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. "I was gutted," he says. "That was my job for the year.
He was given a regular solo spot at the hotel, where he was approached by guitarist Graham Ford to become the fifth member of a Western Suburbs band, The Inturns.
Jacobz returned to television in 2017 to host Instant Hotel. In 2019, Jacobz was a contestant in the fifth Australian season of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! From August 13 2020 he returned to Home and Away, again playing Angelo Rosetta in a recurring role.

What is this? Instant Hotel's season-one host, Luke Jacobz, was replaced with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, whose jackets alone had enough energy to power a small city.
