Fox's motivations in bringing Fringe to a close were twofold - falling ratings and an expensive production budget. In terms of viewership, Fringe's debut season began strongly enough, but saw a significant drop-off with its sophomore effort. By season 3, numbers had approximately halved.
As of right now, Fringe is currently scheduled to leave Netflix US on September 11th, 2016 which will see all five seasons being removed. Typically we include it just on the leaving soon list just because titles seem to be set to expire and then get renewed at the last minute.
1 Answer. Basically, it was an episode they made during the first season, but didn't air. The Fox promos for that episode explained it as a 'lost 1st season episode'. That's why Charlie's there, and there's no attention drawn to his presence, as he was always around during season 1.

Charlie died early in Season 2 or in Season 1 (Olivia shot him, because he was a shape shifter). Then halfway through Season 2 he is back again!

Fringe ends with Peter receiving a letter from his father, a drawing of a white tulip, and a look of recognition sparks across his face. But while Walter was able to leave his son one final message, viewers were left with questions, most of which revolved around the mechanics of Fringe's timeline-altering ending.

Of course, once Peter enters the machine, there is the episode The Day We Died, set in the future. The first time we see Olivia is when she is rushing to the hospital to see Peter, and eventually you find out they've been married for years.
He ceases to exist FROM 2015 because he cannot exist in two places at one time. If you watch the tape that Walter left for Peter it answers all this. Walter knew Peter would remember him and not know where he had gone. He says you will find the letter, then call me, I wont answer so you will come to the lab to find me.
After revealing his knowledge of the technology the new breed of shapeshifters are using, he is brought into the Fringe Division under heavy supervision. His presence is emotionally painful to Walter, who reveals that, in this timeline, Peter died when the ice broke after they crossed over from the other universe.
Joshua Jackson said it best, that the show came to a natural ending that was right for every character in it. We got to see the story lines and relationships between each character come to a satisfying finish and we have no unanswered questions or loose ends, unlike the Merlin series finale.
The white tulip is a symbol of forgiveness and hope. Walter longs for a white tulip, which he believes will be a sign from God that he has forgiven Walter for breaking the universe. At the end of the series, Peter receives a letter from Walter containing a white tulip, as Peck did for him.
After the final reset, Etta is alive. It returns to 2015, at the moment of the picnic where the Invasion occurs, that never happens.
After his Olivia finds a way to contact him, he realizes that the Olivia he is with is not the one from the prime universe. Olivia will not begin a relationship with him though, because she can't stand that Fauxlivia was living her life. Eventually, Peter and Olivia get together.
