Best tools you can use to fix corrupted chunks in Minecraft are: Minecraft Region Fixer; MCEdit; Also, you can delete the chunk manually by using the correct coordinates and it just re-explore him later. But, the most reliable way is to stick with the MCEdit tool. Just run it and you’ll see all modded blocks causing the chunk corruption.
How do I fix a corrupted chunk in MCEdit? Yes, you can use MCEdit to repair damaged or missing chunks. You select the chunk in question and mark it for deletion. Save the change. The next time you visit that area of the world, the chunk will be regenerated as if for the first time. Why is Minecraft so glitchy?
Selecting chunks to reset. Click on the button in the top right bar that shows your coordinates, and enter the in-game coordinates where you want to reset the chunks. You can shift your view by clicking on the 2D/3D button next to it. Once this world has loaded, click on the Chunk button in the bottom bar.
– Delete broken Chunk with mcEdit. – Start minecraft in an older version (for me 1.6.4 did the job) – Walk to the broken Chunk, and everthing seemed naturally and normal again – Restart Minecraft in the newest version, and everything is back as before
Click the chunk control box (It should be the second one from the right), then double click the chunk that you need to delete. Then on the tab on the left click delete. This will delete the chunk, removing the corruption, but also removing everything that was in it. When you reload the game the chunk will be regenerated.
I would recommend running Spigot Timings (/timings on) and then enter the area to replicate the lag, then leave again (if possible) and generate the timings report (/timings paste). This will help you determine what the cause is if it’s lagging the server. Here’s a guide for fixing corrupted chunks:
I also got the plugin that stops world expansion and had people try to explore the current map as much as possible. It seems if the chunk is corrupted and it tries to get loaded it will be replaced with a random chunk. it ended up replacing a chunk right in the middle of an underwater city, but at least the file was fine.
