Ok thanks for my mistakes, i just saw on the wiki the oak boat name is just boat, so if you what to kill a birch boat you got to do this: birch boat (or anything but the oak boat): /kill @e[type=birch_boat,r=5] oak boat: /kill @e[type=boat,r=5] (which i think they should add “oak_boat” that instead of just “boat”)
Command to destroy all boats? I made a command block with a pressure plate that repetitively spawned boats, and the boats go on the pressure plate. My game is VERY glitchy. Is there a command to destroy all boats?
How do i fix this, I cant break the boat without killing the horse. If you’re on Java press F3+B to show hitboxes. Then you can see where the boat is and the horse is and safely hit the boat without hitting the house. Don’t use a sword since it sweeps and will hit both. A boat is an items and vehicle entity. Boats float and move easily on water, and can be ridden, so they allow fast transportation on the ocean or any large area of water; however they are quite fragile and easily destroyed by running aground. This prevents the mob from walking (or teleporting, in the case of an enderman), allowing for an easy kill. If an iron golem enters a boat, it’s hitbox will take up all the space around …

A boat will only break apart if it runs into land at high speed. If you don’t have any splash/wake coming off the sides, you’re moving at a safe speed. You can then “use” the boat again to disembark (although it’s worth noting that jumping off a boat in >1 block deep water can cause it to skid away at high speed and break – I manage to do this …
