In 2017, the price of a non-resident bison tag in Wyoming was $2,502. In Utah, only $1,518. In 2018, the price of the tag in Utah will remain constant, while Wyoming has decided to increase their tag fee to $4,402.

As stated already both animals are bovids but there are differences in physical appearance. Generally, the buffalo has a larger body than the bison. The buffalo also has a bigger horn and a much bigger head than the American bison. The buffalo also has a smooth coat while the bison has shaggy winter coat.
It worked. Today there are bison in all 50 states and close to 5,000 in Yellowstone National Park. It's still illegal to shoot and kill bison without a permit. The exception to that latter rule is Native American lands.
Double lung shots are best for bison. For a lung shot, aim above and slightly behind the front “elbow”. We recommend that you do not make a head shot or neck shot; bison have thick skulls and bullets have been known to hit the skull without penetrating.
