Sheds are more frequent in young geckos that are growing at a rapid rate, and temperature and food intake dictate how often they shed. Gargoyle geckos, like many other species, tend to eat their shed skins, sometimes leaving their owners to mistakenly wonder why their geckos are not shedding.
Much like the crested geckos, the gargoyle geckos enjoy interaction with their keepers and have no issues with frequent gentle handling. They are also great with a varied diet of insects, fruit purees and Repashy powder diets.
Gargoyle Geckos are arboreal and will appreciate some height in their environment. Unless ambient temperatures are consistently below this range, Gargoyle Geckos do not require any special lighting or heating, although a low level UV bulb and low wattage basking spot may be appreciated in a large enough enclosure.
Gargoyle geckos are known to be quite vocal at night, especially other gargs are around. They make a range of sounds, including barks, squeaks, and growls. Generally this is how they communicate with other gargoyle geckos, but sometimes they direct these noises at their keepers as well.

Crested geckos or gargoyle geckos can normally live together happily in all-female groups or in mixed-sex groups with a single male and multiple females, as long as they are of similar sizes, and the same species (do not mix crested geckos and gargoyle geckos, or any other types of gecko, in the same enclosure).

Crested geckos, like all lizards, are able to swim as an instinctive ability. They will only swim in cases where there is no other option. Swimming is a stressful activity for crested geckos and won't like it. It's best to keep your crestie away from water, except for the water bowl and misting if needed.
Crested geckos probably lack the pigments to produce blue colors, unlike the more flashy Day Geckos (Phelsuma spp.) or the Electric Blue Gecko (Lygodactylus williamsi). So it is very unlikely to have blue, green or purple crested geckos, or any Rhacodactylus species.
Crested geckos are one of the most docile pets in the world. If you handle your new gecko everyday for 10 to 30 minutes a day it will bond with you forever.
