Since July 1st, we have averaged 0.875 Spinda quests per day. With the shiny rate most likely at 1/50 (anecdotal evidence until TSR weighs in, but I'm pretty convinced of that rate), many of us will never find a shiny Spinda.
Pokemon Go Spinda is one of the rarest and most unique Pokemon in the game for a couple of reasons. For one, it can't be caught in the wild and when you combine that with the different patterns available each month, it becomes one of the hardest pocket monsters in Pokemon Go to track down.
To get a chance at Shiny Spinda, you'll need to complete the following research task: Make 5 Great Curveballs in a Row - Spinda #8 (Shiny chance)
You may already have a Spinda somewhere in your Pokèmon vault, but unless you just caught him there's no way he's shiny. Instead he is one of the previously released forms of this always changing character. Spinda has over twenty different patterns you can catch, and each will have its own shiny variant.
To catch a Spinda in Pokemon Go, you need to find the right Field Research Task from a Pokestop. Spinda is the reward for spinning a Pokestop and getting the “Make 5 Great Curveball Throws in a row” task.
Spinda is one of the most unique Pokémon in the entire series. Though the Normal-Type rabbit-like creature isn't particularly competent in battle, or evolves into anything unique, the pattern on its body is different with every catch - with over four billion possibilities touted in the main games.
Spinda is a bipedal, panda Pokémon with rabbit-like features. Its eyes are made of two black spirals, which point in the opposite direction to each other.
Ditto is a NORMAL type Pokémon that first appeared in Generation I (it is one of the original 151, Pokédex entry 132). Ditto has no evolution line but can breed with any pokemon in a Day Care Center. Ditto is weak to Fighting type (2x), immune to Ghost type (0x) and resistant to none.
How do I get a Lucky friend? Once you're Best Friends with another player, anything that would normally raise your friendship levels will have a chance to turn you both into Lucky Friends. This means that your next trade with that player will turn both traded Pokémon into Lucky Pokémon.
This may be your only time to catch this rare Legendary, just like when Shadow Zapdos and Articuno were briefly available in November and December. Lapras is a bulky Water and Ice-type Pokémon, but in January it gets an update to its move pool.
Spinda (Japanese: ????? Patcheel) is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
Ditto is a Pokémon who can transform — essentially take on the appearance, attributes, and attacks of any other Pokémon. Although Ditto was missing from the original release of Pokémon Go Gen I, Ditto eventually found its way into the world, hiding as Pidgy, Rattata, Zubat, and Magikarp.
Torterra uses Dark or Grass quick moves, and Ground, Grass or Rock charge moves. Torterra is double weak to Ice, which makes the fight a bit easier, but you still want to resist its Fast moves and shield against its charge moves. Ideally, you want to use Ice or Fire counters.
Giovanni always starts off with Persian who is weak to Fighting type Pokémon, so go for one of the following: Machamp with Counter and Cross Chop, Conkeldurr with Counter and Dynamic Punch, or Lucario with Counter and Aural Sphere. Once you defeat him you'll get either Cloyster, Steelix, or Hippodown as the next foe.
SPINDA: The spot guy. Really good with Contrary, as Superpower Contrary gives it a Bulk Up boost, plus a good attack.
What about an Excellent Curve Throw?
- Touch and hold the Poké Ball until the target circle shrinks down to Excellent size.
- Wait until the Pokémon starts to attack.
- Spin the Poké Ball so you can curve it.
- As the Pokémon gets to about 3/4 through its attack, throw the curve ball as close to dead center as you can.

Skarmory has amazing typing and outstanding defensive stats with decent stamina and attack, making it ideal for the Great League tier. In fact, Skarmory has been a staple for many Silph Arena tournament metas and was even banned in the most recent Sinister Cup to make room for other Pokémon.
Torkoal is a Fire-type Pokémon and #300 in the Galar Pokédex for Pokémon Sword & Shield. Torkoal does not evolve.

Sadly, Game Freak paused the process and, evidently, forgot about it--Spinda cannot learn Superpower in BW2, which means that the surprisingly decent combination of Baton Pass, Rapid Spin, and Superpower remains illegal.
