NAIA schools are comparable to NCAA DIII schools, with the top programs being comparable to NCAA DII. The competition level for NAIA schools is on the rise. Like many smaller schools, the biggest difference in the level of competition isn't how good the best athletes are, but how deep the talent pool is.
They need to have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, or a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale midway through senior year. They must show they have the minimum ACT or SAT scores (see the requirements above)
The well funded NAIA teams are much better than D3 as they should be. NAIA can offer 24 scholarships (Plus as many as they want for non varsity players or redshirts. Plus lower academic standards for athletes in NAIA allows helps NAIA get more D1 ability players.

The NAIA does not have an official letter of intent. Coach Steve Babinski of Indiana Wesleyan sums up the NAIA letter of intent well, “There is NO national signing day for NAIA. We are allowed to speak with and sign athletes whenever! A verbal, like NCAA, is just a “gentleman's” agreement and the signing is official.
The chance of earning a degree is significantly higher though with division III athletes having a 87 percent graduation success rate. Even though going pro is a difficult task, athletes should not be discouraged and if it truly is their dream they should work towards it.
The National Junior College Athletic Association is considered the baby of sports scholarships. It is made up of 2-year community colleges. However, athletes shouldn't dismiss NJCAA scholarships completely. The NJCAA is a good option for students who didn't get accepted to the NCAA or NAIA because of academics.

The NCAA is the American most important institution in its field, nevertheless, there are more organizations out there like the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), or the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association).

NJCAA schools are only 2 years long. You go to these THEN you transfer to a 4 year institute (NCAA, NAIA). The level of soccer is often on par with NAIA and NCAA Division 2.
For NCAA DI and DII schools, you're allowed up to 5 official visits and can only take one visit per school. For NCAA DIII and NAIA schools, there is no limit on the number of official visits you can take, but you can only take one visit per school.
Effective with the 2020–21 academic year, the NAIA will return to a single division for both men's and women's basketball.
Do NAIA schools offer athletic scholarships? Yes, each year over $500 million in athletic scholarships are awarded to student-athletes competing at NAIA institutions. All scholarships are equivalency scholarships, meaning a single scholarship can be divided up between multiple athletes.
To register with the NAIA Eligibility Center, athletes must take the following three actions:

- Get on the priority list (referred to as the “short list”) to ensure the NAIA reviews their information.
