Who won the 2020 NRL grand final?
Souths remained in the ARL during the 1997 season, and then played in the National Rugby League, the merger of the Super League and ARL, from its first season in 1998. The NRL was determined to cut its competition to 14 teams and duly cut South Sydney from the premiership for the 2000 season.
Since the NRL began in 1998, all previous wooden spoon records do not count as they are not part of the same competition. So… here are the survivors! -Brisbane Broncos, Canberra Raiders, Manly Sea Eagles, New Zealand Warriors, St George Illawarra Dragons, and Wests Tigers.

Winning their first Premiership in 1911, Easts would go on to take out the next two titles, becoming the first side to win three Premierships in a row. A solitary title in the next two decades would come in 1923, while another three-peat would be claimed from 1935-1937.
The club mascot is the rabbitoh, a now-disused term that was commonly used in the early 20th century to describe hawkers who captured and skinned rabbits and then sold the meat at markets, so named because they would shout "rabbit-oh!" around the markets to attract buyers.
In the same year NRL players took hefty pay-cuts and tens of thousands of battling fans donated their membership fees, South Sydney owner Russell Crowe has withdrawn $1 million in cash from the Rabbitohs.
