The Ultramarines, the archetypal Codex Astartes-compliant. A Chapter is a completely autonomous military unit made up of one thousand of the superhuman warriors known as Space Marines or Astartes and their related vehicles, starships and support personnel.
A Space Marine Legion, unlike the 1,000-man Chapters of the present-day Adeptus Astartes created after the Second Founding at the end of the Horus Heresy, could number anywhere from 10,000 to more than 250,000 Space Marines, as well as the Legion's associated Imperial Army, logistical support forces and Armada
The
Ultramarines, originally known as the War-Born
[50a], were the XIII Legion of the original twenty Space Marine Legions. This loyalist Legion was later re-organized and divided into Chapters according to the Codex Astartes.

These must be officially sanctioned by the Master of the Adeptus Mechanicus and then by the High Lords of Terra speaking for the Emperor. Only the Emperor can give permission for the creation of a new Chapter. Well, when a daddy space marine chapter loves itself very very much.
The
Primarchs were the twenty genetically-engineered "sons" of the Emperor of Man.

In the military operations of Lucius Cornelius Sulla and Julius Caesar, a legion was composed of 10 cohorts, with 4 cohorts in the first line and 3 each in the second and third lines. The 3,600 heavy infantry were supported by enough cavalry and light infantry to bring the legion's strength up to 6,000 men.

It is true that they do not age, but they will always die to a lost battle at some point. The process that changes an ordinary man to a Space Marine is one that renders them able to live forever as far as age is considered, but that is merely a byproduct of the main purpose of them being a warrior.
It depends on which source you're talking about. Some books has space marine moving at 35–40 miles per hour, while others had them clocking in at 50–60 miles per hour. I personally think they can sprint at 50–55 MPH at the very least. A space marine could get a ticket on a highway with his speed.
No, their healing isn't that good. A severed limb will remain severed, though the wound will close and heal over quickly. Typicallyit would just be replaced by a bionic implant, or in some rare cases a clone-limb. Though some chapters do have zygomatic mutations which may cause abberant regeneration
Space Marines outside of armor really don't know as they are generally depicted in their armor . But at least a ton outside of armor. In armor they can carry 1,350 kg, lift 2,700 kg, and push 5,400 kg.
The Adeptus Astartes were created as the Emperor's ultimate fighting force. Implanted with the gene-seed of the Primarchs, the Space Marines stand seven feet tall, with thickened bones, two hearts, hyper-dense muscles and all manner of special organs that allow them to survive and fight in the most hostile conditions.
No, there aren't any female Space Marines. The gene-seed that is used to create Space Marines only produces a stable one when implanted into a male subject.
Yes, a Space Marine can remove his armour according to the Deathwatch core rulebook. The Deathwatch core rulebook's armour section explains that it takes around 30 minutes to remove or put on power armour with 3 chapter serfs (slaves).
Space Marine DNA is just too different to normal human DNA, so there is no chance to reproduce the natural way with human woman. The only loyalist marines that DO have occasional boink are Space Wolves, who drunk with their mead sometimes take Fenrisian women (because women form any other world would be too fragile).
In the words of the lore, it is "unheard of" for a Space Marine to become an Inquisitor. That choice of words is interesting in that something that is unheard of is not necessarily nonexistent.
The Grey Knights are a Space Marines Chapter and the Chamber Militant for the Ordo Malleus. The Chapter specialises in the hunting and extermination of Chaos daemons.
A Grey Knights Chaplain is a specialist officer of the Grey Knights Space Marine Chapter and like his counterparts who serve Codex Astartes-compliant Chapters, he is the appointed spiritual leader of the Chapter.
A Reclusiarch is one of the senior members of the Chaplaincy in a Space Marines Chapter. The immediate subordinate of the Master of Sanctity, the Reclusiarch is charged with overseeing the Reclusiam, the holiest place in the fortress-monastery which houses the Chapter's holiest relics.
Those Black Templars Apothecaries who examined him later were amazed that Grimaldus had survived. When the war ended, the citizens of Hive Helsreach honoured him with the title of "Hero of Helsreach" and bowed before his passing.
anyway, it seems like the (Iron) Chaplains are exist in the Iron Hands Chapter (Any Battle-Brother of rank within the Iron Hands can become an Iron Father, from mighty Iron Captains, Iron Chaplains and Librarians, to Apothecaries and Veteran Sergeants-Clan Raukaan, Ancient Order).
A Chaplain is a specialist officer of the Adeptus Astartes and serves as the appointed spiritual leader of a Space Marine Chapter. Most Chaplains wield a Power Weapon that takes the form of a mace and is called a Crozius Arcanum. They are also equipped with an Imperial holy symbol known as a Rosarius.
Yes, a Chaplain of a Space Marine Chapter can be a Psyker, providing he is a member of the Silver Skulls Chapter. The Silver Skulls are Successors of the old Ultramarines Legion, and as such adhere closely to the organisational doctrines set down in the Codex Astartes.
Can I field Primaris Space Marines? Any of the galaxy's many hundreds of Codex Chapters can use Primaris Space Marines, along with many of the less Codex-compliant ones like Dark Angels, Blood Angels and Space Wolves.
They said the first generation was from Mars, but chapters can opt to create them, and existing Marines (i.e. Ragnar Blackmane) can become Primaris marines.
Based on a Facebook stream a while back, yes. But in-so-far as actually happening in the narrative as far as we have seen, no. So right now it's kind of in limbo, so right now it's ultimately up to you. If you want a dude to have been upgraded to Primaris in a chapter or in your chapter or rpg game, go right ahead.
Best Warhammer 40k armies
- Iron Hands (Space Marines): The Emperor guides my blade.
- Adepta Sororitas: Praise the Emperor and pass the ammunition!
- Harlequins: Time to clown around.
- Death Guard (Chaos Space Marines): Praise the Plague God, Nurgle.
- Orks: Orks iz made for fightin' and winnin'!
- T'au: For the Greater Good.
You can as they both have the "imperial" keyword. I would suggest doing two segregated patrol detachments. That way the guard keep their regimental bonuses.
You usually can't combine two army lists in the same FOC, but if you want one of Marines and another of Guard, you're welcome to do it provided you can fit it within the points or Power level. Tournament games generally limit you to a single FOC and army list.
