As an ice fishing flasher, Deeper CHIRP makes hole hopping easier with no transducer or wires. The 0.4” / 1cm target separation lets you see when your target species are about to strike. The 7° (675kHz) narrow angle beam ensures precise readings with very little sonar noise.
Deeper smart sonars are designed to float on the surface of the water, and we don't recommend submerging the device (it is waterproof up to 1 meter).

When out fishing, select the same sonar mode that you've previously used to map the lake: Settings -> Sonar mode. Afterwards, go back to the main screen of the Deeper app. You will see the map on the left side, and all the bits and pieces of the map will automatically combine if it was made on different days.
Cast your Deeper PRO or PRO+ to the spot you want to scan (up to 100 m / 330 ft away) and reel it back in.
For charging please use a standard smartphone or tablet charger or connect the cable to your personal computer or the USB outlet of another device (outlets must meet USB standards and have a voltage level of 5V). When you connect your Deeper START to a power source, it automatically turns on.
If the application tells you that "Deeper is disconnected", Re-install the application and restart your phone and then try to connect again. If it still fails, please try the following steps: Disable "Smart network management" in your phone.
The Deeper START is not designed for ice fishing – it operates at temperatures down to 0°C / 32°F. When you are using your Deeper for ice fishing, enable the Ice Fishing Mode (Settings > Ice Fishing).
Open Settings in your smartphone or tablet and turn on Wi-Fi; Find your Deeper sonar in the Wi-Fi devices list and click to pair it; When you are asked for the password, enter 12345678.
A blue light means that it is too cold to charge the battery. Lithium batteries cannot be charged at a temperature below 3°C (37.4°F). A white light means that the unit requires a firmware update.
When the green light quickly blinks, the device is searching for a cellular signal. Once the cellular signal is found, the green light will turn solid. If either of these has an inadequate signal, the green light will blink quickly instead of turning solid. When the blue light slowly blinks, the device is unpaired.
VERDICT. Having been a little sceptical about the merits of using a sonar, I was hugely impressed with the Deeper Pro Plus. It certainly isn't cheating – far from it. It's a tool that can help you to really improve your carp fishing , or elements of it at least.
