We've seen that the exam is slightly easier (and definitely shorter!) than the ACT, though it covers much of the same material. For example, you'll see the same types of English and Science passages, but you'll see fewer of them.
Currently, students have to sign up for the PreACT through a school that offers it. This means that if your school does not offer it, you can ask a neighboring school (likely through your guidance counselor or administration) if it does.
The test is also scored the same way as the regular ACT, on a scale from 1-36. The main difference is that it's considerably shorter. While the regular ACT is 2 hours and 55 minutes long (3 hours 35 minutes if you add the Writing section), the PreACT is only 1 hour and 55 minutes long.
