TIP: Periodically leave the charger attached to your Onewheel+ overnight to allow the battery pack to throughly balance. Use of any other charger will void your warranty and may damage your Onewheel+.
The Onewheel is extremely versatileThat means riding to the beach with all your stuff, transporting your newly bought Christmas tree to its destination, or carrying your tent across those hills for camping. The OW can really earn it's worth here in efficiency.
The Onewheel is water resistant but it is not waterproof. While it is easy to get mesmerized by the videos of people cruising their Onewheel on wet sandy beaches or through water, if you spend any time researching the discussion boards and you will see that there are many boards that have died because of water damage.
It means it's a little waterproof, if you sprinkle some water on it it won't get damaged, but you can't certainly submerge it completely in a water tank. Avoid riding in heavy rain and stay away from puddles. If water finds its way in, make sure to dry off your Onewheel before powering it on again.
The short answer is technically no, Onewheels aren't waterproof and aren't designed for super wet conditions like you'll find in the swash zone of a beach. But they are water-resistant up to a point, meaning you can expose a Onewheel to small amounts of water without getting too worried about damaging them.
The Onewheel XR+ can go 12-18 miles on a full battery and only takes around 110 minutes or 60 minutes with the XR Hypercharger to fully charge a drained battery. As a comparison, the Onewheel Pint has a riding range of around 6-8 miles while taking 120 minutes to charge or 50 minutes with the Pint Ultracharger.
It's a bit hard to define, but the riding experience is markedly different - and Mudd says many riders say much better - than an electric skateboard, scooter, Segway or hoverboard.
Make sure to have Bluetooth on the iPhone turned on first, be within a few feet of the board, push the power button on the board (don't hold it down) and be sure the ring is illuminating, open the OneWheel app on the iPhone and tap the app button for pairing or finding the board.
How To Charge Your Battery
- Connect the charger to an “AC” supply and then to the Onewheel Pint charging port.
- A green light will appear when the battery pack is fully charged and the charger will automatically stop charging.
- Disconnect the charger by pressing the release button on the charging plug and pulling firmly.
But figuring out when to bail is also a little hard because of the Onewheel+ XR's operational quirks. For example, it can go uphill as well as downhill. But if the hill is steeper than 20 or 30 degrees, the hill will scrape the end of the board as the Onewheel+ XR tries to hold you level.
