NO! There is NO swimming or wading in Hocking Hills State Park waterfalls, creeks, or natural bodies of water, except at the designated beach area at Lake Logan and Lake Hope State Park.
Perhaps no other area in the state of Ohio is as wild, romantic and picturesque as Hocking Hills State Park. The Hocking region is characterized by massive sandstone outcroppings, deep cool gorges, towering hemlocks and glistening waterfalls.
Bear sightings in the eastern half of Ohio have increased but they are still quite rare. Your chances of encountering a bear in Hocking Hills are pretty low and you can explore the area alone and unarmed safely. Just be aware of your surroundings and if you see a bear, back away slowly.
When you come to the Hocking Hills during the winter not only do you get to experience the unique trails, but you also get cheaper rates for your stay. The winter is our off season in the Hocking Hills.

Over time, the noisy waters of the Devil's Fork have carved a hole about 20 feet long and eight feet wide in solid rock. Dubbed “The Devil's Bathtub,†the name fits: the 12-foot-deep depression in the creek bed is shaped just like a bathtub, and a small waterfall drips into the basin like a faucet.
